Pita Way - Bay City — Restaurant in Bay City

The looks people give me when I say I don't like this restaurant... I typically will pre-order on the website/app and pick up for takeout, and include a tip. Today was pretty much the last chance I was offering to this specific location. Every time I have ordered ahead, there's a reason for it. I do not want to hang around and wait for my food, and I typically arrive when it's the estimated pick-up time time. I normally don't mind waiting for my food to finish up, but everytime i order from here, they do not start preparing it until I show up and then have to wait until everyone else is served for my order to start being made, and then they didn't even include my full order. I called and got a refund. I do not plan to return.

The restaurant is always overwhelmingly hot from the afternoon until sunset. I dont understand why the restaurant doesn't at least have blinds and I have no idea how the employees manage it, specifically since the sun shines straight into the kitchen area. I have eaten here maybe five times because everyone raves about it, and it's one of two vegan restaurant options my friends have in the area.

I thought since it had been a few months from opening, that they would have worked the kinks out by now. I am really disappointed in this place after waiting for it to open...

As someone who has enjoyed Pita Way at other locations, I’m thrilled to see them opening in Bay City soon! Every time I’ve visited their other spots, the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and packed with Mediterranean goodness.

The food was amazing! The service, however, took a very long time. There were not many customers. In fact, there was only one other when I came in. Although they could have been very busy with doordash and to go orders. There were 2 staff members sitting at the table. I'm assuming management, having a meeting. I understand the need for meetings. I just feel that when your store is busy and people are waiting a really long time. Maybe you need to take a break and help the customers. Also, the staff didn't seem well trained. They were discombobulated. They mix my order in with someone else's. They place my falafel on the counter, not on a paper, not in a cup, but on the counter. I really did not like that. Having said all that, I will definitely be back. Because the food was amazing, the staff was very nice, they just seemed stressed and flustered. I'm not sure how new this store is. Maybe they are still working...
