Title: Disappointing Interaction with Buzz Lightyear at Toy Story Land
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Review:
My recent visit to Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the character portrayal of Buzz Lightyear. As a long-time fan of the Toy Story franchise, I was excited to introduce my child to the beloved characters and create lasting memories. However, our experience with Buzz Lightyear was far from magical.
To my surprise, Buzz Lightyear seemed unfriendly and even angry towards the park guests. As my child eagerly approached him with arms outstretched for a hug, Buzz Lightyear abruptly turned away, showing no interest in engaging with the young fans. This behavior was not only disappointing but also contrary to the spirit of Disney's commitment to creating magical experiences.
What was even more distressing was that Buzz Lightyear's abrupt turn caused him to accidentally hit my child with his costume. This incident left my child startled and upset, tarnishing what was supposed to be a joyful encounter. I expected the characters at Walt Disney World to prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests, especially children, but this incident made me question that commitment.
Given the unfriendly and even hostile behavior displayed by Buzz Lightyear, I strongly believe that a refund for the tickets we purchased is warranted. It is disheartening to think that a character meant to embody heroism, courage, and kindness would exhibit such negative behavior towards young fans.
I hope that this incident will be taken seriously by the management at Walt Disney World, as it contradicts the essence of the magical experience they strive to provide. Families visit Disney parks to escape into a world of enchantment and joy, and it is crucial that characters like Buzz Lightyear reflect those values.
In summary, my interaction with Buzz Lightyear at Toy Story Land was marred by his unfriendly demeanor and a distressing incident where my child was accidentally hit by his costume. I sincerely hope that Walt Disney World will address these concerns promptly, both to ensure the safety and happiness of future guests and to maintain the high standards of excellence for which...
Read moreA wonderful area inside of Hollywood Studios. As per usual Disney does an amazing job at having a fully immersive experience. Once you walk into this area you really do feel like you're a part of the movies. Before you even make it inside there is a great spot to take some pro photos with the giant Toy Story banner behind you. You can also meet buzz lightyear up front at the entry.
Once you're inside of the area there's also another meet and greet over to the left hand side by Toy Story mania. Here you can meet Woody and Jessie from the movies. They just recently announced that in August they'll also have Bo Peep to meet in this area as well.
There are a couple of rides back here and you'll definitely want to try to get a FastPass for these if you can. Both are excellent and you should definitely give them a try. Toy Story mania is for all ages so you can take little ones on this if you need. However, the Slinky dog ride has a height requirement so be sure to check that before getting a FastPass.
Most of this area and the lines for the items you want to do our outside. So be sure to reapply your sunscreen and have a cold drink candy while you wait in line.
Overall: A+ Wonderful area in Hollywood studios for both rides and meet and greets with characters from the...

Slinky Dog Dash is a fun roller coaster that is in a giant toy race track setting. It's fast and filled with turns and up-and-down sections.
Toy Story Midway Mania is a fun 3-D amusement ride that has you competing against other players in 3-D Midway carnival games.
I recommend Fastpass for both of these attractions as the standby lines can get pretty long at times. And even though most of the standby line for Midway Mania is inside, the majority of the standby line for Slinky Dog is outside with fans at some portions of the line.
There is also the Alien Swirling Saucers. In my opinion, it's comparable to the Mad Tea Party of the Magic Kingdom, but more kid-friendly.
The shops in this area sell Toy Story-related merchandise such as clothing, toys, and more.
The food in this area is family-friendly which is appealing to all discerning tastebuds with Woody's Lunch Box and Round Up Rodeo BBQ.
In my opinion, you and your family or group will enjoy your time in this...
