Asked for a flat white, paid for a flat white, given something else that I had to bin. We ordered at the till with Maria (said on her tag she’s from Venezuela) at 08:45 on Friday the 20th September. She confirmed the order. We waited at the side and the other guy working with her made the coffee. He approached saying a latte is ready. I said I did not order a latte, I ordered a flat white which is completely different, and more similar to a short, strong cappuccino. He said sorry, this is a latte, so must not be your order. Maria popped in and said « it’s yours ». I said but we are waiting for a flat white, not a latte. The guys also said, « Maria this is a latte ». She again said, to him « no that’s fine, it’s what she ordered », the turned to me and said « this is a flat white » repeatedly. At the end I took it as I had no reason to believe that was not a flat white. Once in the queue for the skylines, I checked and found it was some sorry excuse for a latte. I binned it as I was I. The queue and could not go back without loosing my spot. I honestly would have rather she was honest with me and said « we can’t do flat white », and I would have ordered a cappuccino. Prices are reasonable. Strategically open before skyline the morning we used it. Location has guaranteed foot traffic within 100 ft of skyline entrance. Depending on time of day your wait could vary but at 7am we had ordered and jumped on the line in 10 minutes or so. Mocha latte was on par.
