Bar Riva — Restaurant in Bay Lake

Bar Riva. Another jewel away from the Disney crowds... take the skyliner and enjoy a meal away from the rush. Grill and bar. Non-alcohol drinks are delicious. Something for every palate. Food items: Grilled chicken sandwich comes with roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, spinach-artichoke spread on a toasted focaccia. Yum. Great balance of flavors and the chicken is so good. The bread isn't cruncy toasted, so doesn't break apart when bitten. This comes with a choice of salad, fruit salad, or fries. Trying to be a little healthy, so chose the fruit. Burrata salad is fresh, yes fresh,  heirloom tomatoes, fresh pesto, and focassia bread. The burrata is so fresh too. Tomatoes are lightly salted... you'll not want to add any salt... it's great just as the chef prepared it. Ginger beer is just spicy enough for those who enjoy fresh ginger. Hibiscus coconut refresher. Delicious. Dessert: Classic Tiramisu. Yes, it was delicious, and light, and all sorts of yummy. But you may get a larger serving for the price at the France pavilion at Epcot. Still delicious though. We ate it slow to savor every bite. Enjoyed this meal while watching the sunset. Memory maker. Try it out early evening.

Back for an update snack in Dec 2024!! While waiting on our baked briee and side of fruit, wife went upstairs to Le Petit Cafe for a peppermint latte. (Seasonal) Everything was light and delicious. John made a great recommendation!...

My husband is a proud Disney retiree of 35 years service. Today 1/28/24 we are at the Hollywood Studios park & decided to take the monorail & go to the Riva Bar located at the Riviera Resort . We greeted cordially by our server at the bar. We ordered two drinks and also a Brie cheese with crostinis. It was absolutely great. Then we proceeded to order two cheese burgers . We totally forgot to tell the server that we preferred them cooked well. We called our server & ask her to please communicate that we would like our burgers cook well. Our burgers come out & my husband’s burger is not cooked well . He priceeds to tell the server about it and she send it back for it to be replaced. Here comes the cook/ chef? With an attitude as we have done something wrong asking my husband to make sure is cooked correctly which it wasn’t. What part of well no pink is not understood? If you are a chef you should know better. Well my husband ended up not wanting his burger & requesting the item deleted from our bill. Which they did not without making him feel wrong about it. As a customer what you prefer matters . We were paying for our food it wasn’t a gift. Bottom line my husband worked hard for his $ while he was a Disney employee . He deserves a great service like any other customer when he goes back to enjoy himself a a regular paying customer. That wasn’t the case today....

We're die hard Disney and Riviera fans. We are Riviera DVC members and annual passholders, hence, regulars. Bar Riva has gone down in quality every time I've been there and today was the worst.

There is no manager in site, no QC and less than enthusiastic servers ( at least tonight). We ate here Friday night instead of going to Topolinos.

The 2 servers were the opposite of interested in serving any customers. They waited as long as possible to clean off any tables so no one else could sit down (and they tried...). It ended up at 6:30pm with only 2 tables.

Our server was so stern, angry and mean that we said very little as to not anger her (absolutely wrong job for her).

The worst part is the growing lack of cleanliness :(. I've noticed over the last 2 years a smell that is not good coming out of the bar and today I watched both servers 'wipe off' the tables.. right onto the floor and then leave it.

It's all too much frankly and such a continued disappointment in the new...
