Such a cute place, the decorations are gorgeous! I love the unique shape of the dishes, something different from other restaurants on property. The food is incredible!! Our server was the sweetest! She even got my husband’s preferred beer from the bar for us. This was the best service we had this visit.
Some people told us they didn’t like this meal when they tried it but you know what, I’m from Texas was food is flavored and this meal was so flavorful and delish, really outstanding and I will eat here every visit from now on!
We added the coconut shrimp, cooked to perfection! Good flavor, not overcooked, crispy and great coconut flavor. I don’t know what they do to their rolls but they are thick and dense, not airy, and so, so tender and delicious and go with the spread and butter so well, I’m in love. BEST ROLLS ON PROPERTY! The spread and butter that come with the rolls are so good on the rolls. The Parmesan crisp was warm and flaky - like a warm flaky gourmet cheese-it, just incredible! The salad is so good and light, not a lot of heavy thick dressing, it was very refreshing. I love herbs in my salads like this and added the mint from my mojito and that made it next level.
The pork is great, with a smoky taste, a very subtle mojo taste and was so melt in your mouth tender. The steak is seasoned and cooked medium, very flavorful, and fall apart tender. The rice and beans are so good, very flavorful, I think cilantro maybe but even my cilantro hating husband gobbled it up and got seconds so not sure. The broccolini, OMG!, first bite knocked my socks off, it was grilled like the meats and you could smell the smokiness on it before biting it, it was done but still crunchy and so smoky. I am having my husband grill my broccolini from now on, y’all! I’m never going back to steamed or sautéed, with what I know now. There was a cucumber topping with mint in it, I love mint and it was a good accompaniment to the meats. The mango topping/relish was good too.
The fish was ok, the chicken I didn’t care for - it was tender and juicy but I didn’t like the flavor and I know I’m weird but I like my chicken more done. The veggies in sauce were flavorful and good but nothing stellar like the above.
The bread pudding is ok, I really love the addition if coconut and pineapple but I felt like it didn’t get soaked with custard in the middle good - it was dry and flavorless in some pieces. I might also be comparing it to Ohana’s we had a night before, it was more moist but if this was more moist and served warmer like they do I feel it would knock Ohana’s out of the park. The ice cream and caramel sauce are divine!!!!! We could’ve used a caramel cup for each chunk of our bread pudding to get the ratios right too.
In the hallway to the restrooms and in the restroom you could hear Sebastian talking and singing songs, which to a Little Mermaid lover that I am was tear inducing, I grew up watching it on VHS, but I couldn’t hear any of it in the dinning room at all. I would love if they could fix this.
I cannot wait to eat here again! This meal was such a great change from the bland Disney food we usually find. I’m still thinking about it and wondering if I can find copy cat recipes to remake this at home until we visit again!

Read moreFirst experience at a Disney resort restaurant, it wasn't what I expected.
Poorly organized restaurant: Although we had a reservation and arrived on time, we were given a buzzer to wait for a table to be available. The wait wasn't long, but just seemed disorganized. Inside is chaotic, with servers running all over the place. The atmosphere is terrible and overly loud.
Not great service: our server was friendly, but we couldn't understand a word he was saying. It wasn't an accent thing, he was just speaking so quickly - and with the noise and chaos, we barely heard anything he was saying. We were immediately asked for drinks, and since we hadn't had any time with the menu we asked to start with water. We also had a long day of travel, so we also immediately let him know the choice of the set menu we wanted (meat vs. vegetarian). When the bread was brought out I asked for a beer, he came back to the table at least 3 times after that, each time saying the beer was coming right out. I thought he went to Trinidad to get the Carib!
Food was not good: The best part of the meal was the bread/butter/jam appetizer course - and there's lots of it. Now being West Indian, I had very low expectations for this Caribbean-themed Disney restaurant to be authentically Caribbean. They somehow managed to not even meet that expectation! The only thing that was anything close to Caribbean was the Carib. That's fine, American resort restaurant tasting American, no problem - except everything was just bland. Chicken tasted like it came from a supermarket, the pulled pork was dry. The steak was cooked medium rare, which is perfect for me - and the best tasting meat for me, but everyone else was expecting medium, so it was technically undergone. The fish was cooked beyond recognition, how a chef could let that dried piece of rubber leave the kitchen is beyond me. I will say two things were okay: 1. cilantro rice was tasty enough, but you're not there for rice, 2. The bread pudding was tasty with the caramel.
Low value: It's Disney, so it's overpriced. And you do get high quantity of food, but the quality is so low that it's just not worth it. The quick service restaurant on the resort honestly had better tasting food for a third...
Read moreWe had a chance to visit Sebastian’s Bistro just a few days after opening since we were at the Walt Disney World resort. We were not staying on the resort so we dove to our reservation.
Finding the restaurant was not easy at all. We saw zero signs telling us where to go or any help on where to park. We wound up parking and walked to find the restaurant. Fortunately there were plenty of cast members to help us along the way.
Check in was easy as the restaurant was mostly empty. The restaurant is much smaller than I expected. Seems to only have seating for 100 total inside with a large out side bar.
For a restaurant called Sebastian’s Bistro there is a strong lack of theming. There are two paintings with Sebastian, but besides that there’s nothing else. This could easily be any Caribbean themed restaurant. There is a strong lack of the Disney touch.
The menu is a bit small but has a little bit of everything you can imagine Caribbean related. Price point seems about average for a Walt Disney World experience.
We had a forty (40) minute wait for two burgers. My friend ordered the avocado burger and loved it. It’s a chimichurri and beef mix. It was cooked right and even though it was so big he had to take it apart to eat , it was well received.
My order was a big regret. I ordered the crab cake burger. I ordered it medium but was served more than well done. Not wanting an extremely long wait for a new one I went with my order. The burger was very disappointing. Besides the crab cake on top there was zero flavor to the meat. For ordering one of the most expensive items on the menu I am extremely disappointed.
The restraunt took note of the problems and took care of the cost of the burger. While the ambiance / atmosphere of the restaurant is good. I haven’t found anything that is particularly worth a...
