I went to Veterans field for the first time on Friday 23 August 2019 to see the Bayonne marching bands debut for the season. What a great looking high school athletic field. The stands are safe the field excellently maintained and the Bayonne crowed respectful and loud when called for. The Bayonne HS band was excellent. Seeing those young men and woman March and play their instruments so well is such a blessing. Their hard work and dedication was on display during this family and friends exhibition. Read moreBeautiful park with functional work out bars, beams and poles of all sorts. It is by the bay so the view is nice and the breeze brings a nice chill early morning or after dinner. It sits around the high school football field which is gated off leaving a footpath for people to jog around. The playground for found children if fairly new with sprinklers and all other amenities a park should have ie. Slide, swings, monkey bars act. Since it's a bit out of the way it is on the quiet side, very nice for found children to play freely without being trampled on by older kids. Cleanest...
Read moreBayonne City has some beyond wonderful parks. Being a peninsula city; surrounding water. These parks have it all in their own unique way. My personal favorite is Veterans Park. Long and expanding. The nature sounds, the hidden lil beach with ample beech wood. The fishing, the trees, the greenery! They even have a built in work out station. A playground for the kids with sprinklers and now with the expansion a gazebo for shade and more walk paths.
Ample benches, trash cans and NATURE SOUNDS. Constant spots of blissful sun and shade for whatever you prefer.
