Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Baytown

Have been going to this Jack in the Box location for at least 20 years. The food and the experience pretty much depend on the time of day and the crew on duty.

Because of its physical location and it's awkward layout, this is a very difficult Jack in the Box for any crew.

Have been trying for years to get through to the owners and to Jack In The Box corporate to offer some suggestions on what really needs to be done for the layout at this location.

With some changes to the layout, it could be turned into a flagship location and much easier for any crew to run.

I am a fast food junkie, regularly eating at fast food establishments.

Although some brands are usually better than others, I have found much more difference between different locations of the same brand, rather than between brands, across the board.

Consistency over a long period of time is very difficult to find because of the frequent personnel turnover.

It is critical to have really good managers on site.

If I owned a franchise I would definitely have a very well-designed reward system in place, to ensure that both individuals and teams were properly rewarded for their outstanding performance.

This location usually isn't that bad. I just went before lunch rush today. There were only 2 people inside ordering/waiting on their food and 2 people in front of me in the drive thru. Right off the bat my drink was wrong and the drive thru cashier rushed me around the building to wait for my food after making the correct drink. I got no receipt and after waiting for over 10 mins I went inside as they were coming out with my food. I figured my receipt was in the bag and at a quick glance it looked like everything was there. Jack In The Box offers a "value menu" that is very inexpensive. The restaurant also offers a range of late night deals that are only available after hours. The service is typically slow a majority of the time in both dine-in and drive-thru. Employees are typically unattentive and at times seem to not know what they are doing.
