I need to start this review off by stating that I’m a fan of chick fil a and we’ve been to this location multiple times without issues. And while it wasn’t the end of the world, the more I reflect on the experience I had yesterday the more it just doesn’t sit right with me.
I had placed an order on the app at 10:25 yesterday morning, 5 mins before breakfast ended. I knew I was cutting it close but I was coming back from a several mile walk on the trail and thought a breakfast burrito sounded good. The app was still taking breakfast orders so I got my order in and was in the drivethru by 10:27 with only two cars in front of me. Plenty of time! Or so I thought. The car in front of me took longer to order than i anticipated so by the time I got to the first guy it was 10:30 and I heard on the walkie talkies to switch the menus to lunch. The first guy assured me I was good because I placed my order ahead of time and waved me through. The second guy saw my order and decided to do his due diligence and double check if my order could be fulfilled, even though he was pretty certain I was fine. The voice that came back on the walkie talkie, idk if it was a manager or just another coworker, but it was snarky and rude with a “NO. Breakfast is done, cancel the order and ring them up for something else. NO MORE BREAKFAST”. The guy looked at me shocked and was super empathetic asking if there was anything else I wanted, but I just took it as a sign that I wasn’t meant to have the Burrito and saw myself out of line. Not a huge deal I didn’t get my breakfast, but the more I reflect on the savagery and rude tone of the voice on the walkie talkie, the more it just doesn’t sit right with me that of all places to pull that, it’s chick fil a. The company that prides itself on delivery a great experience and being Christian owned and treating everyone kindly. I just feel that behavior wasn’t a good representation of the company’s values and needed to be made aware of. I understand if they didn’t have the supplies to make my burrito as I was cutting it close to the end time, it is what it is. But the tone and delivery from the walkie talkie which I can only assume was the manager, was completely uncalled for and ugly.
Again, it’s not a huge deal that I didn’t get my breakfast, and it’s worth noting that we haven’t had a bad experience here previously. But if we’re not holding people accountable for the way we treat others, then we’re not really doing our duty to help make this world a...
Read moreI'm a retired teacher on disability had to pay a lot to get an AC condenser repaired and still get did not fix my car's ac working..... Tuffy's Auto repair came back with $1,000 bill o well it's your compressor not your condenser... Lol Therefore the cost of the compressor $350 took a toll on this month's fixed income. . . So Chick-fil-A was very very busy this morning in Beaufort South Carolina the first two people I asked for food saying I have six days before the money is on the bank and I'm just out of food and I'm hungry. Two employees said, "No we don't do that." I said "What? I thought this was a Christian based business." I ask for the manager he said we don't do that here but he could ask the head manager... They told me to park because they were so busy it might be 15 to 20 minutes. . . having another commitment I said well thanks but no I know he's really busy I'll just won't bother him. However, when I was getting out of their backed up drive-thru I saw a man walking and I asked him are you Kyle? He said yes ma'am. I said sir I'm the lady that asked you for food. He said pull right over there. You know what? Kyle was out to my car within 5 minutes with chicken nuggets and waffle fries 😊 Needless to say I pray that God bless this business and certainly when I have money & I need to eat. I will support this Chick-fil-A because soon and even so now businesses are closing it's going to be a ghost town covid-19 has just fully hit this area and people are still not wearing masks. 😜 Unlike south Florida!! But the food was excellent. And I appreciate the grace that...
Read moreMaybe I have been spoiled by other Chick fil A’s. We live in the Lexington Ky area and our Chick-fil-A’s get an A+ every time. Of course the food is always good, the employees always look and act sharp. The service is always friendly and professional and given with a smile. This Chick-fil-A was non of those. I never saw a smile from the “out front” people at any time I was in there. We vacationed on HHI and stopped at this establishment for breakfast when leaving the island. There was a long drive through line so we went inside. There was one young girl at the counter taking orders and she was slow, particularly giving change, and several people were ahead of us in line. Maybe she was new. She never smiled and never said “good morning”. We gave her our order and stood to the side to wait. It took a long time and the girl that took our order was the same girl that called my name and handed me our order. Despite ordering 2 coffees we got the food but no coffee’s. I didn’t say anything at first thinking she would bring our coffees however she went ahead waiting on other customers. I finally got her attention and she came over and I told her we didn’t get our coffee. She didn’t even let on she heard me. She just turned and walked away and disappeared around a corner behind a wall. A minute later she came out from behind the wall and I watched her slowly get our coffees. She brought the coffees and handed them to me again without saying a word and no apology, no nothing. She never smiled and never spoke a word. It was bizarre! Certainly not like any Chick-fil-A...
