Ever walk in a place and feel like you've just crashed a private event? The place was packed, and I don't know what was up, but we got eyeballed from multiple people and felt a bit out of place. Like, you just know you don't fit in and if you're not in the mood to stand out, don't stick around. Thought we might find a dive bar where you can just mind your own business but I'm not sure that's the place. Bartender was nice, but customers were odd, so we finished our PBRs on the back porch, which is a nice spot, actually. Overlooks the parking lot and the marshes beyond. Promising, but unattended. It was a sunny but chilly day. Watched two separate customers take their drinks to go, right into their vehicles and drive away. So... that was a new thing for me. Doubt it's condoned by the establishment, but whoooooweee, what privilege to be so unconcerned about drinking and driving at 4pm. Cry Babies on a Saturday afternoon. Bucket list...
