My review is based mostly on service. The food is decent and just about what you expect from any chain sit down restaurant. The place was clean and at the time we got there, it wasn't busy but did start to pick up closer to closing time which is typical for a place with a full bar side.
The service is the biggest flaw here. Not to say there isn't anyone there that provides good service, however the waitress we were sat with was horrible. She took a long time to come and take our drink order. When we got our drinks and appetizers it took another long period to place our food order. By then the dishes were piling up from our appetizers and drinks along with the menus she didn't take from our table even though we politely stacked everything at the edge of the table for her. When the food finally came out, it was only our children's food with a half fast unapologetic explanation of where our food was. By the time our food finally came out it had been about 15-20 mins and our children were finished eating and falling asleep at the table. My wife and I packed our hot food into a box to go and left. But not before the waitress, knowing we were unhappy, offered our children ice cream without even asking us if it was okay for them to have! Completely unprofessional. When I explained this to the manager she seemed as if she was unfazed by this information and proceeded to give a fake apology asking if we'd give them another chance again soon. Not a chance I will take my family to Applebee's before returning to this Chili's location ever again. What's sad is my wife worked at this location many years ago and back then this was the Chili's to go to. It really took a turn...
Read moreI haven’t visited this chili in person for a while but last night I was craving their fried mozzarella so I dragged my dad there to grab some. We arrived around 8pm and were greeted kindly, the staff up front allowed us to choose our own seating. It was quite busy so it took a while before our waitress had time to stop by our table.
For appetizers, we got the chips and salsa and the triple dipper with mango habanero bone in wings, fried mozzarella, and southwestern egg rolls. For the main entrées my dad got the smokehouse combo with the ribs, chicken quesadillas, and Nashville hot crispers while I got the fajita trio which consisted of steak, chicken, and shrimp. For dessert I got the molten chocolate cake to-go.
The appetizers weren’t too shabby, the eggrolls were crispy on the outside and soft inside and the fried mozzarella are delicious as usual. The chips and salsa wasn’t too bad either for a chain restaurant. However, the wings were really dry, while the sauce had nice sweet flavor, it didn’t help the dryness. My dad liked some of the items in the smokehouse combo, mainly the ribs and corn on a cob. But, he wasn’t impressed with the chicken quesadillas nor the bland crispers, it was barely salty and had zero spice. My fajita plate came to my table sizzling however, when I touched the chicken, it was cold. The steak was also overcooked and extremely tough so I brought that home for my dogs. The shrimp was the main thing I ate and it was still extremely bland. I was disappointed that almost all the food was mediocre at best but I guess that’s what I should expect from a chain restaurant. At least the service was good and I did like the...
Read moreI want to share pur experience because it was the most uncomfortablest one I have yet to have and my husband is upset. So first off qe have been to rhis restaurant 3 times cuz we love in the palm springs area and we don't have a chili's. We came for our sons bday lunch he turned 7 with my mother in law and step daughter, we waited for a booth or table cuz it was busy, we got seated in a really small booth for 5 right behind qhere the receptionist stands, me, my husband, and son sat in the same row and my husband had be half off the booth it was so tight. After that out waitress came, really nice girl pretty with a nose ring, we ordered drinks and I noticed she would come to other tables and bend over right near my husband in a weird way . Didn't really bother me cuz he was talking to me most of the time he didn't notice... then we ordered our food.mine was wrong, I was ok with it. When she brought the food she bent over and literally put her butt in my husband's face to where he backed towards the other way with was towards me. Ok, but then the ranch that was brought for my 7 year old looked weird so me and my husband tasted it and it was old and nasty, and he said it out loud I'm positive the receptionist heard. Right when we left my husband said we are never going back there island I said thank god u noticed cuz I thought it was all in my head. It was the most awful bfay lunch for my family and 7 year old. I got there big smash no onions or bun and came with onions and no 1000 island sauce. And burnt. But the way this waitress acted topped the day to be so obvious in her actions.....
