This place is horrible. The people that work there is so rude. As soon as we came through the door, one of the guys that work there asked me and my kid's if we want to be seated at the bar. I am looking at him and wondering why he never gave us a chance to ask us if we wanted a table. He wanted us at the bar like they were trying to segregate us from all of the other white people, like they us too do in the 1945-50's. We were stared at and laughed at by some of the workers in the kitchen, and some of the white people who were seated at tables or booths started at us too. We got up and left, and as we left, they stared at us like we shouldn't have ever came in the restaurant and like we didn't belong. You can feel the prejudice in the atmosphere. I mean the looks we got, laughs and picking up on the racist feelings in that place was so heavy and thick in the air, that you could take a knife and just cut right through it, because those negative looks and feelings was that strong. For me and my kids, we were very sorry we ever stepped foot in that place. I am not prejudice, and race doesn't matter to me, because my kids are half white. But this was an eye opener for them, because they never went through anything like that before. To me, I have the same green money as the other people in that place does. You would think the color of the money should matter for them the most, but I guess not. If you do go to eat there, make sure you read these reviews before you go, or you might end up sorry...

One thing I really wish for La Cantina is to partner with locally owned Paleteria "La Real Michoacana" with using their Aguas Frescas & Licuados for the customers as there have been other restaurants in the past that has done this such as Tacos La Shula. They offer Horchata, Strawberry, and Pina Colada which are the Licuados(with the milk in the fruit drinks). It is necessary to enhance the restaurant with more drink options such as these to make the restaurant feel more Tex-Mex. Lighting can use more of an upgrade to make it more bright as it is currently dark. Needs to be more employees checking on their customers as the wait for my waiter for order taking and other services has increased in time. Basically, needs more employees. Overall, everything was great but I wish La Cantina can use these changes to help modernize their restaurant to become more as a Tex-Mex restaurant with partnering with La Real Michoacana restaurant for their Licuados, improving the lights inside the building for brightness because it feels dark while sitting at tables, and improving food-quality as the taste of the food can get old/usual if I eat at La Cantina everyday. So hopefully these...
ย ย ย Read moreLa Cantina isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. From the moment you step inside, you know you're in for something special. The freshness of their ingredients is palpable, a testament to their commitment to quality. Let's talk about the Fajita Luis. Simply put, it was a revelation. The perfectly seasoned, sizzling meats and vibrant vegetables were a symphony of flavors, a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more. It's safe to say, I'll be dreaming about those fajitas for quite some time. But the real showstopper, the unexpected star of the evening, was the fried tamale appetizer. I've dined at countless Mexican restaurants, but I've never encountered anything quite like it. These golden, crispy delights were a revelation โ a perfect blend of savory and comforting, a delightful surprise that set the tone for the entire meal. If you go, and you absolutely should, do not skip these. La Cantina has set a new standard for me. It's not just about the food, though that is undeniably exceptional. It's about the passion, the attention to detail, and the genuine warmth that permeates the entire establishment. If you're looking for an authentic, unforgettable Mexican dining experience, look no further. La Cantina...
