I feel to understand why they do not schedule someone only for the bottle return instead of scheduling them for that plus put them on a register inside or give them a list of things that have to be done inside the store as well. It's a wonder that anyone at the Redemption Center gives any service at all. Many times they don't. Last night when I was there three different families left out of frustration because the machines kept breaking down because no one answered when the button was pushed and because they have a new policy that they are only leaving one machine open from 9 to 10 p.m. obviously if that many people are waiting to recycle it is not a good policy. Fred Meyers has wonderful customer service inside but apparently it is only adhere to as a policy Within their walls. Outside people are treated in my opinion a second-class Citizens how many occasions. This includes blocking off the parking spaces that were in front for loading and unloading recyclables which are used by many veterans people with disabilities people who were out of work or people who are simply making a little wage they now need to park far away and Hall there were Cycles to the Redemption Center. However if you have an electronic vehicle which of course means that you were not of the population that I previously mentioned because they are not cheap I do need to charge a vehicle there are spaces that are open with machines to do said charging right there next to or the spaces were blocked off that people used to load and unload the recyclables. There's a message there and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed it because management in Fred Meyers definitely treats people who may be having a challenging time in life a bit differently maybe they're not in their target Marketing Group I don't know. But I know Fred Meyers agreed with the state of Oregon to provide the service and it should be treated and the people who use this service should also be treated the same as the people who are inside enjoying their climate-controlled shopping. Regular staff in Fred Meyers is quite Pleasant. Brandon Lulu's appears to work outside the Redemption area always tries to go the extra mile for the customer and is the one bright spot in that department. But you're right you don't have to be in any category to have the machine break down 15 times when you're trying to do the recycling, to wait an hour and 15 minutes while pushing the buzzer watching families pool in go in and do their shopping and come back out all while you stand there waiting for assistance even after you've been in two to three times to request help. Those are services that are extended to everyone who comes to use the Redemption Center at Fred Meyers on Walker Road. People who are using that service or still customers guys and customer service to extend to all the customers not just a select few. Not everyone may agree with this but I'm there at least 3 times a week and these are things that I've noticed over an extended period of time. And I'm...
Read moreI am very disappointed with how the motorized carts security system is. I went to the Walker Road location to shop. I had my elderly mother with me that has a pace maker and can not walk far without loosing her breath. I went in to get her a motorized cart and not one was working. I then found out you have to have them activated by an electronic key. The lady at the door was very nice but she could not seem to get the cart to move. I told her I was done and I needed to go to the other side of the store to get my mother. I started walking to the other side of the store and a gentleman called to me fallowing me with the cart. He told me that he was able to get the cart going and I was grateful and processed to take the cart and headed to the other side of the store to retrieve my mother that was waiting for me by the door. We did our shopping and spent $300.00 dollars between the two of us. We headed back to were our car was parked. We were on the garden center end of the parking lot. We rolled through and the electronic cart stopped right in the middle of the self check out. In which was very busy and the cart was stuck and in the way of every one. The lady there was very nice but said she did not have the electronic key to get it moving again and that we would have to wait for the manager. I asked her if the cart could be taken out so I could load the groceries in the car. She said that the cart would not be able to leave the building and that is why it stoped in the middle of the shelf check out. This was embarrassing and made the shopping trip very frustrating and a big inconvenience. I grabbed a standard shopping cart and started transferring the bags to the cart. I did let her know how ridiculous this system was and how inconvenient. I did explain to her that I'm not blaming her or was I angry at her . I'm upset that we couldn't even get our groceries to our car with out a big production. This needs to be fixed. Maybe a resolution could be that the carts shut down 50 feet to 100 feet from the exit. Winco carts are designed to do that. We will not be shopping here again and out business will be going to a grocery store that doesn't have such strong restrictions on the disabled...

Never been in here before; so obviously, I don't know where anything is located; obviously!
Apparently, these people OVER HERE IN BEAVERTON, OREGON have the "need" for some type of;
"Bizarre Swarming AND CHASING Activities"
I have never before experienced, EXCEPT IN GRIDLOCK TRAFFIC ON THE connecting FREEWAYS?!?
I was forced to abandon my cart multiple times in the store, so they could come over and very closely inspecting my $$ purchases in the cart (I guessed)
This was near the end of shift and store closing for the night.
Apparently, my cart was more interesting to behold than their own carts.
People need to learn to mind their own business IN GROCERY STORES(?!) and tend to their own needs and not mine.
Unbelieveable AWFUL experience. :-(
Won't ever come back, have no fear about THAT one 4 sure.
