I usually do a lunch date with my husband at Craft but looks like we will never be going to Craft again.
It started with my husband who wanted to order lunch from the Craft bartender. He didn’t know what he wanted to order so the bartender went to the office while he figured it out. When he decided on the order he tried to get the attention of the bartender who seemed to step away from the counter for a long time. He walked to the office behind the counter to grab her attention. She DID NOT seem pleased with him for going into the office to try to get her attention. She told him there are cameras everywhere and that she can see him waiting in a very stern voice. He didn’t know there are security cameras all over Craft. My husband was the only person at Craft. He just wanted to get the order in so lunch would be ready for his wife.
It’s lunchtime and the Craft lunch time regulars start to stroll in. They start chatting at the bar with the bartender over drinks. At one point in their conversation everyone at the bar turns around and all start looking at my husband. I work with these gentlemen and they are big men. My husband isn’t aquatinted with any of them so to have a whole row of large men stare you down who you don’t know would make most people feel threatened.
I head to Craft to have lunch with my husband after all of this went down. I felt something was strange when I entered but didn’t know any of this happened till we left Craft. This is just really unfortunate. My family has been going to Craft since it opened years ago more than once a week. It always felt like a welcoming place but this year it seemed to change. This was the first time ever that we felt we were in the OUT crowd and we did not...
Read moreI'm a bit of a beer and tap house enthusiast, and I've been to a lot of places.
But Craft Pour House is one of my favorites. It's got a casual and friendly atmosphere, and the staff is always happy to help you find the perfect beer. They have a wide selection of craft beers on tap, including local favorites like Von Ebert and Great Notion. I recently tried the Von Ebert Romance is Dead coffee cream ale, and it was super smooth and delicious. It had a slight coffee taste that was really interesting. I also enjoyed the Great Notion Puffery Helles. It was a light and refreshing beer that was perfect for a hot day.
In addition to great beer, Craft Pour House also has a great atmosphere. It's a fun place to watch a game, and they have three TVs dedicated to sports. They specialize in showing Portland Timbers games, and they even have Timbers scarfs on the wall. If you're looking for a great place to watch the game and enjoy some craft beer, Craft Pour House is the perfect place for you.
Here are some additional details about Craft Pour House:
Hours: Open 7 days a week, 3pm-10pm on Sundays and Mondays, and 11am-11pm on Tuesdays-Saturdays
Prices: Beers range from $5-7
Food: They do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own food or order food from a nearby restaurant.
Overall, I highly recommend Craft Pour House. It's a great place to enjoy a cold beer and...
Read moreI've been coming to this place for a few years now. Pretty good tap selection, service has ranged from okay to great, it is always clean and well lit.
My experiences here have been good. I've spoken with the owner a few times, always very friendly, willing to chat about anything, never felt rushed. We can get plenty of samples before deciding which I really appreciate.
I have mostly dealt with lady who has grayish hair and the man with a thin reddish brown beard. The lady is vocal about things, but not rude, while the man is more playful and everybody is his friend. That's my perception anyway.
Prices are fair given the competition is charging more. Selection changes frequently.
It's a nice place to go after work, on weekends, or whenever you want to escape for a couple hours for drinks. You can something on tap or in a can on premise.
I think everybody knows they don't serve food, but you can bring your own, and there are several restaurants in the same plaza and within walking distance.
Atmosphere is fair. It's not amazing but not a dive. Full windows floor to ceiling, plenty of light, sports memorabilia everywhere, and several TVs.
Plenty of indoor seating, and outdoor seating is available when the weather is favorable.
Overall, I like this place, and plan to continue...
