I absolutely love this place. Their army ramen is excellent, and my daughter loved their teriyaki chicken. Their kimchi is made in house and is so good. their radish is amazing, as well... even my friend, who is super hard to take places because of dietary restrictions, was able to eat with only one modification ( leaving the sauce off) and loved it. It's definitely worth it.

EDIT: I have been back, and my opinion has changed, but only slightly and definitely for the better, I asked if they could make my army ramen a little spicier, I like a little extra kick, I'm usually nervous when I do this because sometimes people cooking decide to make it so spicy it has little other flavor... they made it absolutely perfect, rich creamy spicy and a perfect balance. I absolutely loved it, and everything we got was so good, even the 2 7 year olds ate pretty much all there teriyaki chicken, ( that in it's self is a huge compliment 😀) if I could give them more then 5 stars 🌟 I would

Edit: I have now tried just under half there menu, and have loved everything I've tried, I do have my favorites, but honestly would never complain about someone bringing me anything from here! Everything is so flavorful and amazing can't wait tell I can say I've tried everything here...

This is my go to everytime I'm in the area, the food is fantastic, the staff and owners are wonderful and amazing, my family and I absolutely love this place ❤️ hoping to get one opened near us, but we are still willing to travel an hour for the food.

Still love this place, keep trying more things and absolutely love them all, have taken several people here...

Tl;dr — Bad noodles, pretty good everything else. Hopefully just a mistake.

I’m always excited to try new korean places that open up around beaverton. Especially recently coming from socal, i’ve missed being able to have excellent korean food almost everywhere. Regardless of their quality, i’m still optimistic about the korean food scenes growth here. For gangnam teriyaki, i tried the jajangmyun, jjampong, and pork katsu. The jajangmyun sauce had a deeper and more meaty flavor than paiks noodle. I thought the flavor was good and portion size was decent also. The jjampong flavor was good too, but just a little bit less bright and seafoody than what i’m used to. The biggest issue i tasted was the noodles, though. The noodles were very pasty, stiff, but mushy and the same time. They were not the normal soft and lightly chewy noodles i was used to. I’m not sure what was wrong with them (maybe undercooked), but it almost ruined the dishes. If i had only eaten those two dishes, i would have given this place 3 stars. I’m hoping this was just a small mistake that needs to be ironed out after some time. I will be back to visit and see how it is again. The pork katsu was good. Not a whole lot of pieces (maybe 7), but the flavor and sides were good. We also got a half cheese corn dog but i didn’t try it. From what i heard and saw it was good. The place is pretty small, so coming here with a bigger group would be relatively difficult unless it is not a busy time. Prices were about typical for what i know. About 15 for...

Every time I think I’ve found my favorite Korean restaurant in Portland, another one comes along and takes the crown. Most recently, Gangnam, located on the west side of the river, has earned this title. This new gem has quickly become a standout in the city's vibrant food scene.

Gangnam has a modern yet cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. However, given its popularity, the limited number of tables and seats can be a drawback. Be prepared for a potential wait during peak times, but trust me, it’s worth it.

We were so impressed by the menu that we ordered five different dishes because everything looked and smelled amazing. Each dish was a delightful exploration of Korean flavors, perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh.

The variety in their offerings caters to both traditional Korean food enthusiasts and those looking to try something new. The presentation of each dish was also noteworthy, adding to the overall dining experience.

The staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing our dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations.

Despite the limited seating, Gangnam is a must-visit for any Korean food lover in Portland. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a new favorite. I will most definitely...
