La Morenita Ricos Tacos — Restaurant in Beaverton

Oh I thought I wouldn’t be able to but since I can review allow me to introduce myself! Mark here been going back and forth to la morenina because my family is obsessed with this flavorless bad customer service little joint I’ve gone 2 times and had a bad experience first snd foremost a acaso salsa ! Salty I made it know to the lady that her face looks like she’s smelling a bad poopie diaper all the time (pissed) and she was like nonis not salty I don’t know what your talking about! So my in law tastes it and he agreed so as another guy who is a mechanic from A1 in Beaverton! So now she takes the salsa back and pretends to do something about it! But doesn’t she just didn’t put it back and waited till we left to out it back ( how do I know )

Second time today july19 of 2018 went there again to give the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance again ....well bad idea I went and got a $21 dollar order of tacos and left a tip! As soon as I get home I open it and try to eat it when I notice hair on the plate of tacos from the lady no only one but two I ignore it and then I found a nail on my salsa de aguacate (avocado) his is it for me maybe they just hate me and really don’t want me to go there or just have gotten really bad luck but they are gross I don’t know what the whole fuss is about ! Flavorless meat salsas need flavor and of course higiene is a must ! I wish I can say I wish them the best but sadly enough certain people shouldn’t be in the restaurant...

I have been going to Ricos tacos on this same corner of Hall Blvd and allen Blvd for 15 years (no joke) and they have switched owners 2-3 times in that time. This USED to be my favorite taco truck and anytime I traveled into Beaverton I would stop here. My order has always been the same.... 2-3 carne asada street tacos for $2.00 a piece. Each order comes with fresh lime and lemon and radishes. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas and cilantro and onion (i add tomatoes for no extra charge). However yesterday when I stopped here I was very disappointed. The carne asada was dry and had no flavor.... The tortillas were dry and seemed old and I couldn't believe how horrible they were. I couldn't even eat more then one and I was starving. I am rating them 3 stars ONLY BECAUSE this has always been a " go to " spot for Street tacos and through all the owners the recipes, value, and flavors have stayed the same. Yesterday must have been an off day? This is strange because never has this happened before. I am curious if maybe due to less business due to covid-19 that maybe they pre made things and thought that they would be busier and they weren't in this was the reason it was dried out? Not sure but I will definitely give them another chance...

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, and we finally did. This must be the busiest taco truck in Beaverton! I can see why, as the tacos are cheap ($1.75) and flavorful. When we go to a new taco place, we always get a carne asada, Carnitas and pastor taco. The only one that really stood out from this truck is the asada. Many taco places don't season their steak well, but here they really do. The pastor was also flavourful, but very sweet. There were probably 6 different salsas/sauces, almost all super hot. I wish there had been a medium red sauce, but they all seems to tend to HOT HOT. But, there are no complaints when the sauces are clearly homemade. The Chipotle cream sauce is amazing! I'd never tried one before but I took a chance and was thankful I had. To sum it up, this is a good food truck and I'm sure we will go again. The asada is the best I have found in the Beaverton area, and I plan to try the chicken as well. Our go to taco place is still Tacos & More in Tigard, where they make the Tortillas from scratch and have more generous portions for 25¢ more, and an indoor...
