A Roman-sized Disappointment at Little Caesars Pizza
I recently decided to satisfy my craving for a classic, fast-food pizza with a trip to Little Caesars. Little Caesars is a franchise renowned for its affordable, convenient, and satisfying pizza options, and on these fronts, it did not disappoint.
The food, as expected, was familiar and comfortingly consistent. My taste buds were treated to the unpretentious delight of the "Hot-N-Ready" classic pepperoni pizza - crispy crust, tomato sauce, generously topped with melted mozzarella and a sprinkling of flavorful pepperoni. It's a dish that could bring a modicum of joy to even the gloomiest of days, and that’s exactly what it did for me. Also, the Crazy Bread, an unmissable treat, was soft, garlicky, and brushed with the perfect amount of Parmesan.
The staff was a paragon of friendliness. They greeted every customer with a smile as warm as the pizzas they serve. Every interaction felt genuine and hospitable, never failing to make each patron feel valued. I felt like the guest of honor at a quaint dinner party, rather than a customer at a fast-food chain.
Yet, despite the undeniable allure of the food and the heartwarming friendliness of the staff, I found myself battling with a sense of disillusionment, and even a twinge of false advertising. To my surprise and disappointment, no one in the store was little, and none of the staff were named Caesar.
I entered Little Caesars with the naive hope that I might be served by a diminutive Roman statesman, only to find that the staff consisted entirely of everyday people with everyday names. I couldn't shake the feeling that I had been somewhat misled by the establishment's promising name.
Now, you may think it absurd to expect Roman senators at a pizza joint, but in an era where customer experience is king, shouldn't a restaurant’s name be a testament to what it offers? The lack of miniature Caesars running the store took away from the overall authenticity of the experience and left me wanting more than just a slice of their Hot-N-Ready pizzas.
In conclusion, if you're in the market for a quick, reliable pizza fix, Little Caesars will indeed hit the mark. But if you, like me, yearn for a dose of Roman authenticity with your fast food, you may need to manage your expectations. As for the pizza? That's something you can count on. So here's to hoping that next time, the staff might don a toga or two, to add a dash of Roman flair to the otherwise...
Read moreCalled to place a pick up order, half pepp half ham, I specified to the guy 2 times over the phone that we just wanted the ham not the pineapple. When I went in for my pick up the girl at the counter verified my order which is when I noticed that they ended up adding the pineapple. After again clarifying it 2 times with the girl at the counter that I didn’t want the pineapple just pepperoni and ham and telling her that I confirmed it twice with the guy over the phone as well she proceeds to ask me if I’m sure I didn’t want it which I said no because it is also a price difference. She then glares at me with her laser eyes like that’s gonna make me change my mind 😂 she then purposely gives me the wrong pizza & this is where I should have double checked my receipt but I added on some ranch so I didn’t think much of the price change. when I went back not even 10 steps out the door, to ask for a replacement with my actual order & a refund on the price difference they charged me. During this whole interaction I didn’t raise my voice or act out of character which I could have but didn’t because it was a simple fix in my eyes. When the guy who assisted me over the phone finally decided to make his way to the front at first he tried playing it off saying that the extra amount they charged me wasn’t much so it wasn’t worth the refund I once again firmly said I’d like my refund for the extra amount that was charged. For some reason he decided to get mad at me and go the extra mile to give me my refund in coins. When I confronted them about why they felt the need to be rude to me when they are to blame after I confirmed it 4 times on what I wanted & they decided to act dumb. If you’re going to give unnecessary attitude don’t chicken out when they call you out. Keep that same energy. I understand the initial guy who helped me isn’t fluent in English and it was hard to understand me yet I’m sure you could have asked one of the many employees you have there to take over the call. But if I confirmed it again in person and you still decided to hand me the wrong order then don’t be mad when people come back to correct you on...
Read moreI placed an order for a no cheese pizza online. I reviewed my order and made sure to submit the pizza with no cheese. When I went to pickup the pizza, it had cheese. I was very nice to the associate and asked for a refund as they were close to closing. They refused. I refused to take the pizza. I called customer service the next day and they reached out to the franchise owner. An employee from the store called me to tell me they would give me a free pizza. I explained that I had already paid for a pizza and all I wanted was a refund. The owner was on the other line with a different assoiate and the owner then insructed the assoicate to not issue a refund because it showed in their system that the order was for a pizza with cheese. I explained that I am vegan and definitely ordered a pizza without cheese. If there was a mistake in how the website took the order, or the transmission, I don't know, but I have paid for a pizza with no pizza in hand. I have contacted customer service again and was forwarded to a supervisor. At this point it is becoming more of a hassle for $11 then it is worth.
It's suprising to me that the franchise owner would rather do bad customer service then to refund and have the customer coming back. It's this attitue that not only drives customers away but contributes to bad reviews and lower sales. In any case, I can get a refund from my credit card company. It starts to become a matter of principle that a business thinks they will take money but not deliver service promised. Clearly, I won't be returning to this store and will instruct my family and friends not to return...
