Homestyle Barbecue — Restaurant in Bedford Heights

OK I was referred to this restaurant by family relative is located in Bedford Heights. I couldn’t wait to give them a try due to the fact that we don’t have any barbecue joints or home soul food restaurants in this area so to say the lease I was very excited for starters I started off with the perch dinner that comes with two sides coleslaw the fries for $1.50 up charge you can get macaroni or greens or any other side that you choose to start with the perch it was very delicious. I can ask for a better way for the person to be prepared or cook it. It was Fried little hard, but I’m not complaining when it comes to my fried foods being fried hard but they could have take it out a little bit earlier. He gave me a nostalgia, feeling like I was back at the church on a Friday durning the fish fry. That very good old fashion, perch, fish fry taste will be back for more 8.5/10.. the greens were my favorite, very sees it very tender and sweet, a new feeling a new taste that I have an experience before just wish it had more turkey meat and each serving, the macaroni with season very well cheesy, but the noodles too soft, I also got five traditional fried whole wings no sauce very delicious seasoning not complaining the chicken was fried hard but like I said, I’m not a complainer when it comes to my fried foods being fried hard, but it could’ve been took the chicken out a little earlier for more juicy succulent chicken wing Also had a housemaid sauce on the side which was a bang bang sauce. It gave me like a sweet chili/light mayo vinaigrette type of sauce very delicious. Will try that again. Other than that the food was delicious and I will be back for more. I can admit that the restaurant was clean. The customer service was standard. At the time myself and my friend was the only people in there. Food took about 15 to 20 minutes. I will say this is probably the worst soul food I've had besides Angie's. Very undesirable. One piece of perch, and we know how small perch is for a fish sandwich with no coleslaw or no fries just toast and one piece of fish barbecue sauce in a container. They don't even offer it as an option for the sandwich or on the side . In all my life in Cleveland I've never heard of that . My macaroni and cheese look like it's been burnt chewed up left out and reheated. It absolutely was reheated because it was so piping hot that I couldn't even touch it from being in the microwave. The fish was Bland and tasteless just like the macaroni. You can't look at that picture and tell me you think that's presentable or appetizing. Very oily Mac. Also had a catfish sandwich not pictured but it was under done and I threw that away immediately after taking a bite of undercooked catfish. If I could give a zero out of five on the food I would. However the decent individual at the cash registered garnered the one star. I will never be...

I can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Scotty! The food at this hidden gem is simply outstanding. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. Every bite was a taste sensation that left me craving more.

Not only is the food exceptional, but the service is top-notch as well. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. I felt welcomed and valued as a customer, which only added to the overall enjoyment of my meal.
