This place doesn't even deserve the one star I was required to give it in order to post this review... Relatively new to Ohio, I am a Kitchen & Bath Designer doing a large scale remodel, easily over $125,000.00, on my own home. Had this establishment on my radar though hadn't gotten there yet. While visiting a cabinetry showroom on 07/26/18, to my surprise, was excited & thrilled to discover that Edelman Plumbing was actually located right next door in the exact same building. Well, that's where the thrill ended. BIG TIME. As I walked in the door, a man sitting at the desk area dead ahead of me looked right at me and never acknowleged or greeted me. As I walked a little further, right in front of and past other employees, still no greeting or offer of help. I was remarkably invisible and no one cared that I was there, or even pretended to. Now appalled, I continued my walk around their showroom, just waiting to see if anyone ever was going to acknowlege my presence there. I was surprised to see that they sell not just plumbing fixtures but appliances and windows and doors as well, all of which I need. Unfortunately, I continued my tour around their showroom all on my own for about 30 minutes without a sole speaking to me or offering me help. As I made my way back toward the front exit, this time there was a woman sitting behind the desk. Again, she looked right at me but never acknowleged me. Let me say too that the showroom was relatively dead. No huge crowd of people waiting for assistance. At most, there were three other shoppers besides me. Maybe not even that many since I couldn't tell if the other visitors were couples or solo shoppers like myself. Also, the showroom was not closing for several hours yet, so it's not like I showed up last minute when they were preparing to close. I see that other reviewers have written of the same experience. I left this establishment upset & fully disgusted by their blatant rudeness, lack of professionalism, & utter indifference to my presence there. I have worked in similar showrooms and would never dream of letting a customer walk through the door unackowleged. But hey, at least it's not all bad news. I discovered I have a new super power. Yes, that's right, apparently I'm invisible! ...If this is how you're treated before they get your business, just imagine how bad they must be once they've gotten your cash. There are plenty of companies who sell the same products who would be thrilled to have your business and who treat their customers with respect. I have been to both the American Standard and the Whelker McKee showrooms and the staff at both places were friendly, professional, & helpful, very unlike Edleman. Thanks for nothing, Edleman. I'll be delighted to take my business elsewhere and will advise my clients to do the same. Zero...
Read moreWe recently made a substantial purchase at Edelmans ( Commercial Stove/Hood and Dishwasher) After the stove and dishwasher were delivered we were told that a part to the hood was delayed about a week. Well a week has now turned into over 2 months, and we still do not have a guaranteed date to receive this item. Follow up has been poor. I have to call the rep every week/other week to find out what is going on, and I get the same answer..its on back order. We now have a very expensive hood that has been sitting in our garage for over 2 months, and cannot complete our kitchen renovation. If we were told about this up front we would have purchased the hood elsewhere. There has been no motivation on Edelmans part to find another resource to obtain this part--we are just left with the answer "its on back order and there is nothing we can do" very disappointed in the customer service. Read moreWe did a remodel almost 10 years and got all of our bathroom and plumbing fixtures at Edelman. The sales people were very, very patient and helpful back then and the selection of high end products was fabulous. We chose Rohl for our master bath fixtures and have been very happy with them. Recently I lost a small part of the drain stopper apparatus for one sink. Andrea in the Parts department was able to communicate with Rohl - even without a picture or part number - and get a replacement. AND it was at no charge as it was still under warranty!
