Toadies Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Bedford

Came by the evening of 3/28 leading into the morning of 3/29. I believe the bartender working that evening was named Michael. Regardless of his name, he was the rudest bartender I’ve ever encountered. He acted like every customer was an inconvenience to him, wasn’t personable or friendly, like you’d hope your bartender would be. His facial expression was that of anger/annoyance. At one point another patron accidentally knocked over a stool, and though she picked it up, he made a point to come out from behind the bar and very aggressively shoved it in towards the bar. At that point, he told another patron that he “didn’t want to talk to her” (referring to the patron who had knocked over the stool). At that point, he refused service to her saying she appeared inebriated even though she wasn’t slurring her words or behaving in a way that warranted refusing her service over being clumsy. The way he handled that entire situation was so off putting, between that and the lack of customer service, it definitely turned me off from wanting to return to this...

showed up to have a little bit of food and chat with a family friend, at first the waitress was attentive but after 5 minutes we ended up having to flag her down just to get her to show up, and she even snapped at us at one point when we we asking for refills after our friend payed for the tap and we left the floor waitress followed all of us outside and chewed us out for not tipping her after asking if it was a mistake. when we told her that we didn't pay so we couldn't change the tip and had no cash she chewed us out even more. whenever she went inside afterwards she tracked down our friend who paid and chewed her out for not tipping either. hell, the bartender working tonight was a better waitress and we weren't in her section for more than 2 minutes. acting like that is very unprofessional and demanding a tip is a sure way to make sure I don't give you one. Well, it’s funny cause I went on a Sunday night and it said a little busier than usual, yet it was dead. 7 people and 5 were regulars. Mind you the waitress was great. Very nice and had no problem helping me with the menu options. The food seemed wonderful. Looked and smelled great. The build a burger option with all the add one had me making the perfect burger. The Catfish tacos with rice and beans looked excellent. Boy was I wrong. Bland is an understatement. Burger was over cooked and dry as well as the catfish. Waffle fries too hard. Rice and beans were cold. The beans were actually good and would have been great if they were hot. I know it’s a bar, but this is well below bar standards.
