Review:
If you're a New Yorker yearning for a taste of home, look no further than Valentinos NY Pizza! Nestled right here in the heart of Texas, this hidden gem brings the true essence of New York-style pizza to the Lone Star State.
The moment I stepped into Valentinos, I could feel the authentic vibes surrounding me. From the friendly staff greeting us with genuine smiles to the mouthwatering aroma that filled the air, it was like stepping back into the streets of Manhattan. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere created the perfect setting for a memorable pizza experience.
Now, let's talk about the pizza itself. Valentinos NY Pizza has elevated the art of pizza-making to new heights. Each pie is expertly crafted with a thin, crispy crust that boasts that characteristic New York crunch. The generous layer of tangy tomato sauce is perfectly balanced, not overpowering the toppings or cheese but instead acting as a delightful flavor enhancer. The quality of the ingredients is apparent in every bite, with the freshest vegetables and the finest cheese that melts into a blanket of ooey-gooey perfection.
One of my personal favorites is their classic pepperoni pizza. Every slice is adorned with just the right amount of deliciously spicy pepperoni, creating the perfect harmony between the rich flavors and textures. Additionally, their toppings range from traditional to unique combinations that will cater to every pizza enthusiast's palate.
I cannot forget to mention the outstanding service at Valentinos NY Pizza. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their menu options and eager to offer recommendations or customize pizzas according to your preferences. They genuinely care about ensuring you have the best dining experience possible.
Moreover, the portions at Valentinos are more than generous. A single slice alone could satiate even the heartiest appetite, so be prepared to indulge in your love for pizza!
What sets Valentinos NY Pizza apart from other pizzerias is the attention to detail and the authenticity they bring. It's evident that every bite at this establishment is made with passion and a commitment to replicating the true essence of New York-style pizza.
In conclusion, Valentinos NY Pizza is a slice of paradise in the heart of Texas. With each visit, you can expect to embark on a flavorful journey reminiscent of the bustling streets of NYC. Whether you're a New Yorker craving a taste of home or a Texan searching for the pinnacle of pizza perfection, Valentinos NY Pizza will deliver an unforgettable experience that will leave you...
Read moreJess rocked out in the dining room as well as the bar and absolutely made us feel welcome. Several pizzas from these folks into living in the area and it's safe to say this is a local gem. Definitely coming back for bingo!
Edit time...uh-oh: dropped them down a star from the last time we dined in, albeit the Saturday before last (a karaoke night), due to the service issues and how that made the atmosphere feel. Look, karaoke night is a tough night to dine in at any restaurant- this didn't influence my decision to bring them down a peg. The waitress was the bar tender was the food runner, which is normal for such a small shop, but she seemed very unattentive regarding the kitchen. She also gave us the vibe that unless we were ordering drinks on such a slow bar night we weren't going to get good service. But she didn't know about the drink menu pinned to the walls which made things interesting. The food was so slow and the singing on most occasions was so awful that we were primarily suffering through the singing while drinking b-tier margaritas while we waited on our food...again, it's karaoke night and I get that there has to be room for lower expectations on atmosphere. But after roughly 4 ounces of well tequila and no food after an incredibly active day, all we wanted to do was eat at Valentino's and split.
So here's the frustrating part- orders for take out and delivery were erupting from the kitchen in short order but we had to wait for apps for over 45 minutes and then another eternity for our pizzas. Come to find out (when we ordered our pizzas and started paying attention to how long the waitress took to put food orders in for others) that she wasn't putting in food orders withing 20 minutes of writing them on the pad. She was also forgetting about people's food orders all night. We can see the POS system the food goes in on...we could also see where she walked to check her phone instead of check for our food... The timing was so off on dinner and we spent so much time there, waiting, we filled up on apps and only had one slice fresh from each pie before taking the rest home for leftovers.
If this is the strategy now, maybe a name and sign change is in order. Valentino's Bar and Pizza Take-out? So we know the bar...

UPDATE*
I discovered this place about a year ago. The pizza was AMAZING. being from NY I was pleasantly surprised because it was better than even anything back home and nothing around compared to this pizza. I've definitely recommended this place highly to just about everyone.... fast forward to today.
A friend came into town and I took her to go get pizza and it was nothing like expected. The place is under new ownership and the pizza is barely "passive"
We sat down to eat and the pizza pie came burnt. Literally. My child said "i've never had brown pizza" thinking it was wheat pizza or something of the sort. The pizza which returned was ok, it was a little on the overdone side also but this is definitely because the crust is stretched so thin (in a n attempt to save money I'd assume) that there's no way for it not to burn. The owner came over to our table and let us know that the last pizza he had brought over was "well done," .....I wish I would've taken a picture.
Aside from the burnt pizza, the thin crust was so over stretched that there were parts of the pizza that were just cheese with holes in the underside of the crust. The taste is nothing similar to the previous owner's recipe.
We also ordered garlic knots and mozzarella sticks. The 2 stars are for the mozzarella sticks. They were great! Garlic knots however were not edible either.
It's very unfortunate because the last place was AMAZING. Hoping the previous owner has a new...
