Yamato Japanese Steakhouse of Bedford — Restaurant in Bedford

This was my 1st time visiting the new Yamato's in Bedford. The decor was nice, updated, with comfortable chairs. The service was incredible! Very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely friendly.

We asked about a menu item going to another table, after we had ordered, and they actually delivered us one on the house. It is an item that wasn't on the menu yet and they were trying it out. They had made one for social media photos, but weren't going to eat it- so we benefitted! It is a jalapeno popper appetizer (the last 2 photos). It was 3 large breaded jalapenos filled with cream cheese and tuna and deep fried. YUMMY!

The 3rd photo were the appetizers we ordered- fried dumplings (great with their sauce) and lobster Rangoon (also great- although I couldn't try that sauce due to the sugar content).

Their gyozas tasted home made, which is good, nice crunch; their sashimi and sushi platter comes with salad and soup. Precise knife work sashimi sushi chef, each slice and thickness are so uniform, and artistic layout, I can tell it is the work of a professional sushi chef. The platter comes with a lovely vase lotus decoration that makes me feel like I’m eating by a lake. Authentic! I love their salad dressing they have two different bottles for you to put as much as you like. Superb value. Sashimi is very fresh. Their spicy tuna roll is very delicious, love that roasted rice flavor around it. I am so full I have taken half away home. It’s a big portion, and good price! Thanks for coming to Bedford! My husband and I stopped in here after checking out Spring Mill State Park. We both ordered the Kani salad which was very tasty. I had the hibachi vegetables and those are really delicious and also we had a few sushi rolls, the green dragon and the dynamite roll. All very tasty and very nicely presented. We did only receive one platter of the sushi rolls and one dipping tray for soy sauce between the two of us. And no plates aside from that, which was just a tiny bit strange. However, the entire experience was very. Food came quickly and the waitress was nice enough. Looks like a friendly place with lots of parking outside. We would definitely go there...
