Just stopped in to get a couple donuts, all gone. I mean the rack was bare. So I looked at the cookies. Peanut butter, my absolute favorite. I was actually glad they were out of donuts. I bought a dozen, $13 and some change. Were these made out of gold? Then, when I got back in my truck, I couldn't wait to try one. I picked one out of the box, and it fell in half. I picked a half up, and it fell in half again. What is going on? I popped that piece in my mouth, and what a surprise. Basically, nothing but raw cookie dough. It tasted fine, but it just was not a cookie. When I got through at Lowe's, I stopped back in at the bakery. I showed the owner the cookies in the box, which by then, several more had fallen apart. I told him that they hadn't baked nearly long enough. He tried to tell me " they are supposed to be that way, soft and chewy. I couldn't believe he, the owner of the bakery, could not tell the difference between soft and chewy, and raw dough. I told him I was going to re-bake them when I got home. He said he guessed he could bake them some more, if I wanted. An honest business man would have refunded my money, offered me a replacement, and apologized for my inconvenience. He was more worried about a couple of dollars, than making it right with a customer. Also, the cookies were small and thin, nowhere worth over a dollar each. JCs are much thicker, bigger around, and fully baked. And much less money. He is trying to stretch out the dough to make more cookies, to make more money. It looks to me a lot like he is being greedy. Remember the no offer for a refund. I...
Read moreWe came to Bedford because on my last trip here the people were the best. So me and my son brought the wife/mom with us to show off the community to her. This was the first place we stopped because it was coffee o'clock for the missus. The donut spread was really amazing so we were excited at first. Then the girl behind the counter ignored my wife and started taking the order of the group standing behind us. A fluke I was sure, we hadn't been here before so maybe we didn't understand the community inside knowledge? Maybe we weren't saying something right or doing something right? But we were in what we were certain was the line so we just waited. Then the girl started taking the order of the group behind us again. That was weird, and not gonna lie, made me a little angry. Mostly because I wasn't a fan of watching my wife have to go through that. So I was ready to leave, set the coffee down and just walk. As I was turning to go and starting to usher us out the owner noticed. Kudos to him (his picture is up on the side of the building). So here's where I'm at. I only review places I either love or dislike. That leaves me in a weird place. We loved the food and coffee. But I don't like doing business with businesses that don't want to do business with me. So you get two stars man. Because you made my wife cry. I can take the abuse if it's me but not when it's her. Your food was good but thems the rules. If it had just been me I would have walked with no review,...
Read moreYesterday I called with an order for 50 cupcakes, to be picked up this afternoon. I asked specifically for tropical colors or a luau theme. They volunteered to place picks on some of the cupcakes, to follow the theme. I didn’t expect picks on every cupcake, nor did I expect the colors to be perfect for a tropical theme, since it was such short notice. We were amazed when we opened the first box to find 25 cupcakes with flip flops, umbrellas, sunglasses, and other tropical picks. The icing colors were absolutely perfect! Hot Pink, bright yellow, turquoise, etc. They were beautiful!! All fifty cupcakes were perfectly decorated, and perfect for our party. They were also delicious!! Thank you, Magic Morning staff, for being helpful, friendly, and for going out of your way to make your bakery the...
