Independent Brewing Company — Restaurant in Bel Air

Absolutely, awesome. My husband has MS and can not have gluten (makes his legs (& hands) super weak, unbalanced, numb... you name it...No thank you!). We went here with friends thinking we'd just sit and eat some of their gluten-free jerky. We were prepared to wait for our friends to finish up their beer then head some place with ciders my hubs could drink. WRONG! The bartender informed us that all their beers were gluten-free (and its on their chalkboard... evidently, we don't read). She explained the story about why their beers are gluten-free, how they're made without gluten, and explained that their clientele included Celiac patients. We were sold! For the first time in 3 years (since he was diagnosed) we sat at a bar and enjoyed BEER with our friends. It.was.awesome! ...I almost cried. Yep. Thank you Independent...

Very family friendly!! I would give them 6 stars if I could. Our first time visiting and I accidentally spilt my entire delicious coffee stout all over my one year while playing with her. This was probably my most embarrassing mommy moment to date but the staff was awesome about it and helped us clean up! They were very kind and even refilled my daughters pink bottle at the bar (with water obviously). As first time parents, it's really great to find a place that lets us enjoy alittle bit of the pre-baby life while also being a family. The beer was yummy and the atmosphere clean, friendly and open. They have games, high chairs and even some baby/toddler toys. Very cool guys, we'll definitely be back (and less messy next...

We went to Independent Brewing Company in the middle of a craft beer exchange “research” trip. We traveled all over the area and had to come back to get our case of beer.

Young Mark in the Funkhouse made us feel welcome and like a local family member. Young Mark was great explaining the layout of the land, how the brewery worked, and what it was all about.

This brewery has great staff, an entertaining and welcome atmosphere, and some amazing smelling food trucks (please note - we only had beer at this stop in our journey).

We hope when we are back to visit that Young Mark will grace us with his prescience and guidance once again.
