Disappointing Experience at Perry’s Nut House
Today marked our first visit to Perry's Nut House, a familiar landmark we had always observed but never entered until now. Regrettably, our experience left much to be desired. Despite the posted closing time of 5:00 PM, we encountered an unexpected disappointment when we found out that the fudge had already been put away at 4:15 PM.
Furthermore, the staff member's unfavorable attitude added to our dissatisfaction. In a tourist-centric destination like Perry's Nut House, where impressions are crucial, encountering such early closures and unwelcoming behavior can create a negative perception for visitors from around the world.

Read moreUsed to be THE place to go when I was a kid, but people have given up on maintaining the little Shop and the prices are outrageous, almost $16 for a lb of fudge, and a little over $5 for half of a pound of gummy bears that you can buy online and pay the same price for 5lbs...it's THE definition of a tourist trap. Read moreMy family has been going to Perry's Nuthouse all the way back to my grandma's childhood. We wanted our new family to be the 4th generation! We were extremely disappointed to see the Trump flag outside. As a queer, mixed race family we instantly did not feel safe. However, we decided to still give it a try. It's a family tradition! The store is very different even from just two years ago. It is sparse and has odd things for sale, like cheap plastic 3D printed toys. We also had a very odd, creepy interaction with one employee and had to leave at that point. Not even a chance to get fudge! Needless to say we are very bummed and will not be back. And I'm unsure if I should ruin my grandmother's memories of this place by...
