This review is more about an overall experience tonight.. It's Sunday evening and we are meeting here at 6:30 pm for a large family dinner. Eleven of us will be testing their customer service at a busy dinner time. When my wife, son and myself arrived at 6:10pm to give them time to setup the hostess politely said two an a half tonight. My wife replied oh no there will be eleven of us at about 630. She then looked over her chart and offered options, one sit out on the porch or wait about 30 min and they should be able to sit us inside. And yes it was very busy when we arrived. So the rest of the gang arrived at 630p and the hostess had my wife look at the inside arrangement. She came back and said that it would be two separate two separate tables at that point and could wait longer for one large enough to accommodate all of us inside. We opted for the porch which was fine because weather was nice and we could talk to talk to each other as the inside was a bit loud (not a bad thing). Once seated Mel was our waitress and promptly took our drink orders and reviewed the specials. Now a must for this large of a party is to order appetizers it just keeps everyone happy when having a little something. Few minutes later she came back with our drinks and took the rest of our dinner orders. Little while later out come the appetizers and refills for drinks. So we all munched chatted while we waited for our dinners. Now I'm not going into details about the food because when it did arrive it came out hot. We ate and it got super quiet time, even Mel came out and asked how everything was and we mumbled good or something like that. Mel laughed and said it must be good because it's really quiet now. To finish this review we were all happy and I will point out. We sat down about 645pm and between beverages, appetizers and dinner we were finished eating around 745pm. We were all satisfied with Mel and kindness to all of us with her funny pet pictures. So we will come back because of the hospitality of Mel and service that was offered. I gave 2 stars, which I should have given none, but the service and staff were very friendly, and I had to add that note. The problem was the food. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken Bowl, which was supposed to be blackened chicken with a bourbon glaze over rice and vegetables with onion straws. What I got was Chunks of chicken, NOT blackened with NO Glaze and NO onion straws. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The rest of my party got the fajitas. No sizzling plates and the chicken fajita dish was soaked in water or something at the bottom non-sizzling platter. The side dish the asked for was the beans and rice...NEVER GOT IT. My husband got the beef, and honestly it was good. And he did get his side dish. We didn't say anything as it took so long to get the food, we ate what we could and took the rest home to our dogs. I always state when something is NOT good, but we ordered drinks and one of the drinks was supposed to have crushed jolly ranchers lining the glass and vodka infused cherries and she got none of the above. So much grenadine, she couldn't drink it, so she sent it back for something else. PLUS we were sitting outside and the table was not under the covering, but it was a bit cloudy so it was fine, but then the sun came out and it was blinding so we felt bad having to ask them to move us inside. NOT TO MENTION HOW IT STARTED...The place was mostly empty, it was 4:30. we like early dinners on Sundays. There was a wait because they told us they are just finishing a busy shift and the kitchen staff needs a break. REALLY?????? But we wanted to try the food and relax and have a drink first. The experience was bad. The only good thing at Mojo's is the friendly staff. The food was extremely disappointing. Really sad cause I had higher expectations. Won't ever go...

So I ordered 2 food items 1 "the pepin" with no onions and Mahi fish tacos. The tacos were great tasted above average, however a fun little twist. Got back to the house checked the bag had 3 boxes score they gave me something extra. It was 3 cheeseburgers that smelled rank and looked like they used a whole quart of oil. Called told them I'm bringing them back hopefully we get our original meal and for free. They say yeah we might be able to do that. Drive back get there give them back their disgusting burgers they give it to the man standing there instead of making new ones (lol even more disgusting). Then they give us what we ordered and they said we can't give you a refund since we're giving you your order (hilarious they act like gas is free) checked the boxes just in case they may have made another mistake everything looked ok the tacos smelled amazing (for context the inside atmosphere is really dark at night) get home ready to eat and the fish tacos were good enough to be worth the money. I gave my mom her meal and she told me it's caked with onions under the pork (she's allergic to onions hence the specification no onions). Thank you very much for wasting my time and money also I got food poisoning from this establishment 3 years ago and I wanted to try it again what an instant regret how does this establishment have 4.3 stars the majority of your food is average or worse for a sit down price and you gamble with a simple order with a 66% failure rate. It was 2 orders with 1 specification you couldn't tell you put 3 boxes on a 2 box order and then didn't even read the special instructions so only 1 meal was edible and you won't even remake 3 burgers fresh for a dude that's been waiting...
