Egan's Pub — Restaurant in Belleville

Do not waste your money on touchtunes here! Owners apparently hate music and will turn off the jukebox randomly or turn it down so low that you can't hear it. Have had it happen to me and witness it happen to patrons almost every time. They don't care that their patrons lose money, and their response is, "It's a pub, not a club." And that it's 'not their problem contact touch tunes'. On top of that, you also apparently get charged a $50 "cleaning fee" if you get sick at all while there. Even if you throw up in the toilet. They don't cut people off in hopes they throw up so they can charge them an extra $50. Owners make fun of someone getting sick in the bathroom to other customers while the person is still in the bathroom. Very...

We stopped in looking for a quick bite to eat. It is not very impressive from the exterior. When we walked in we almost left as it was dim and did not appear to be clean. The furnishings were old and worn and as usual there was a lot of sports memorials on the walls, but we decide to get a drink anyway. The waitress who was also the bar maid was very friendly and nice, so got our cocktails. Then we saw some of the food arriving from the kitchen and it looked pretty good so we have it a try. I'm glad we did. The burger I had was excellent and my wife who is a picky eater loved her meal. The price was very reasonable. I went to this pub 4 years ago for food. We got the Philly steak sandwich. As I was enjoying the sandwich, a metal bolt popped out of the inside of the sandwich and fell into the plate. We were shocked in disbelief to find a bolt inside it. Called the waitress to inform her. We received an apology but didn't get a bill adjustment for it. I vowed not to return.

Move forward to 2024, reluctantly met some friends there. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio but received a glass of red wine instead. Let the waitress know, and she brought me the Pinot. Nope, it was a Riesling. The waitress checked, but they didn't have a Pinot Grigio, just a random wine. I stuck to drinking water. So, never ever again...
