I was a regular here often coming weekly or sometimes 2-3 times a week because I loved their pina colada smoothie and my kids loved their 7 fizz drinks. Today, they had a promo for buying 4 drinks for $16. I decided to take my kids and we bought 6 drinks. The girl took our order while we were still in line. She said we could pay when we got up front. When she came back, I asked if we could change the smoothie to a German Chocolate drink which she said yes and took our payment. After we paid she proceeded to come back and told me the girls making the drink said we couldn’t have the German Chocolate drink. I asked why and she said they just said we couldn’t and that I had to keep the smoothie even though I paid for the German Chocolate drink. I wasn’t happy about this but let it go as they didn’t seem to care at all. Then they proceeded to give me five of my drinks that were now all melted in 90 degrees weather — they made these drinks 15 minutes ahead since they took my order while I was still in line. I had to drive around again and ask for a refund which they said they wouldn’t give me because it’s their policy. They said if I wanted new drinks I’d have to pay for new drinks. I asked why would I have to pay for new drinks when it’s the servers fault that my drinks had all melted and were no longer actual smoothies or shakes because they decided to make it 15 minutes ahead in 90 degree weather. It was an absolute horrible experience and these teens were rude and not helpful at all. They just kept telling me too bad and suck it up. I definitely will not be coming back anymore after this horrible experience with a bunch of inexperienced teens who didn’t know how to resolve an issue and wouldn’t even give me a refund...
Read moreMy experiences to-date with 7 brew have been mostly positive. I love their brunette and chai. I have had really good service as well. That said, from a quality perspective they can only get a 4. Support fresh local coffee roasters if you want real high quality coffee.
As for service, I have to drop my ranking to a 3 because of how terrible the service is when you get a bad employee. 7-brew advertises that you don't pay for the coffee you pay for the experience, but that puts a heavy burden on the shoulders of the staff who have to provide high levels of service in sub zero temps in the middle of winter in a small wooden shanty with little heat and open doors/windows. I don't blame them for having the occasional miserable demeanor, but I can't accept outright rudeness like I experienced Valentine's morning from the employee in the booth.
All that aside the main reason I had to leave a terrible review was for cleanliness. My coffee cup was covered in sticky fingerprints(see photo). It was horribly unsettling to hold and made me second guess putting any items ordered from...
Read moreI don't know how the city planners approved their lot layout and access, but it is horrible. The driveway looks like it should be an access road for the neighboring strip mall I was trying to get to. There was zero signage at the entrance, which is set back far behind the actual building, and it doesn't look anything like a driveway for 7 Brew.
Because of the disguised entrance, it was too late by the time I was able to figure out my mistake. The driveway turns into a double line drive through that takes up the entire width of the drive around the building. There is no bypass lane to simply drive around and leave; you are committed. I was lucky and able to turn around in some empty parking spaces, but still had to fight against the flood of incoming traffic to get back out.
The service also seems very slow. We noticed a vehicle still in the line about 20 min later when driving back by from our shopping trip. If I hadn't been able to get turned around, we would have been looking at a half hour delay or more just to go through their line so we...
