Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Bellevue

I hate leaving bad reviews.. but let's start off on how I'm forced to give this establishment a 1 ... if i don’t Then I'm unable to tell all my fellow readers & friends the experience I had earlier today ..

Has I arrive at the location the place looks like any other Applebee's - I simply came here to get a drink and meet with my Boyfriend so we can go smother day shopping. As I enter the building - no one - not a single soul greeted me .. there was no host or anything. I went and sat myself down at the bar dining area .. the doors near the kitchen there was a group of employees just standing around .. no acknowledgement whatsoever oh get this .. they smiled at me and went back to chatting and laughing. After 10 mins of just sitting there I just took the tablet they had on their table and ordered my own damn food - not even what I wanted cause I wanted to see what the menu had - which I didn't get btw not only after 40 mins just sitting there ..

As I'm still waiting to be greeted or acknowledge- I had to flag the a waiter that was zooming by to ask if I can order a drink with him .. he hesitated looks around and shrugs his shoulders and said " uh I guess " took my order and boy how do you mess up a Kamikaze shot lmao ( oh they didn't even card me ! I could've been 20) Not once but twice and it still wasn't right .. so I gave up the drink and just ordered a beer - that took longer then waiting for a slug to pass across a sidewalk. So I just gave up - paid for my horrible visit and made sure to not ever go back to that particular Applebee's. If the manager or supervisor are reading this - please talk and coach your team to be better at customer services skills and do proper I.d...

Just being honest - service was not great. Server looked like she was more concerned with doing her side work than waiting on me. She was gathering and cleaning those tabletop displays on a table right next to me, but didn’t bother to take my order until I was staring at her for a while. Appetizer came out before my beverage, which was a diet Pepsi, which I believe the wait staff can get for themselves, so she wasn’t waiting on the bar staff. Additionally, the place was not very busy. There was a loud table of guys doing fantasy baseball or football trades, kind of obnoxious, but not the fault of the restaurant. Overall ambiance was “husk of a formerly popular national brand just barely surviving”. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip which looked appetizing with golden brown melted cheese on top, but the dip itself was pretty watery and unappetizing. Main course is the chicken quesadilla salad which consisted of mostly the center of a head of iceberg lettuce. Gross. The chicken and the accompanying quesadilla were so salty. It tasted like someone marinated the chicken in salt water. The quesadilla was small for an entree salad, but it might be because they are trying to achieve a certain caloric value for the dish. I had to leave before I was finished, so I packed the items to go. On my way home I had to make an unexpected stop, and when I got back in my car, the entire car smelled like the food and not in appetizing way. I tossed the leftovers in the nearest garbage can.

Can’t say I will be back...

I always come to Applebee's for the Happy Hour specials & 2 for $20 specials. Can't beat a cheap date hahah. Happy hour starts at 9pm until closing (not positive if that is daily or not)

Truth be told though I have not been here in quite some time BUT for the month of October they are doing $1 margaritas DOLLARITAS all month long, all day long, open to close!! Who doesn't want a margarita in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday for a dollar hahaha

The margaritas were extremely sugary though so you can only really knock back a few before you get a headache. It's going to be different with each bartender you get on how strong each drink will be. The first round my 5 friends & I got weren't that strong but by the 3rd round they "seemed" to get a little stronger. What do you expect for $1 though.

Fun night with my friends we ended up accidentally purchasing the games on the tablet they leave at the table for you to order. We had a LOUD fun game of heads-up $1.99 or $2.99 I don't quite remember. There are tons of other games available as well. I guess that could be a good option if you're there with family & have kids that need to be kept occupied. Or like us Adults who just wanted a fun night with drinks & some games lol.

I'm always down for the Applebee's spinach artichoke dip $6.99 I believe which is part of the 50% off appetizer happy hour list. Not all appetizers are included in the happy hour there's a specific card that tells you what items...
