The pizza is totally customizable, and tastes good—so that’s great.
The employees don’t mind at all to keep you waiting while they meander about. Not even a glance or acknowledgement that you are there. I asked one if there was any dairy in their crust, and he had no idea. He told me to look at the website. OK, I step out of line to look it up. No dairy—now to the back of the line again.
No whole grain crust option—but that’s rare these days, with the anti-gluten craze. They have an extremely slow method of applying their pizza sauce to the crust. Fortunately, I wasn’t in a hurry. They will add any toppings you want for no extra charge, so I loaded up the veggies and pineapple. I was surprised that they don’t offer banana peppers or pepperoncinis. I was ready to step behind the counter myself, because the poor kid couldn’t evenly distribute the pineapple if his life depended on it.
When they called my name, I went to the counter and they handed me the pizza. The employee looked confused when I asked if I could pay for it. The same thing had happened to my wife a few minutes earlier! If we were dishonest, we could have easily had three free pizzas. Was this everybody’s first day on the job?!
I enjoyed my pizza, though it could have used a couple of more minutes in the oven. It’s common for loaded veggie pizzas to come out with raw dough in the center, because of all the extra moisture in the toppings. Next time I will request that it be “well done”.
Both the kitchen and the bathroom looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a week. Is anybody actually managing this place?
All in all, I’ll go back—it’s a great value for a loaded pizza. Next time I’ll be ready to handhold the hapless employees through...
Read moreEasy to order online but they use Doordash for delivery, which makes everything so bad! I ordered 3 boxes of pizzas to delivery to a business site. Obviously my staff and I were working and that’s why we chose delivery option and wanted them to bring the pizza to our business. I received a phone call from 605 area code but could not answer it because I was working. Then this person texted and just asked me “call me back”. I ignored it because I thought it was a scam call or something and he/she did not state who they were and what they contacted me for. When I tracked my order after the scheduled delivery time, it said it was delivered, which we did not! So I called the number for assistance and this lady was just horrible! She wasn’t really helpful but just said they would deliver again. Then I checked my text message again and the person who texted me with area code 605 was a Doordash delivery person. He/She basically asked me to come get the pizza because he/she didn’t want to come inside the mall and did not want to park... anyway, when I finally received the pizza, it was the worst pizza ever! It was burnt and no one really ate them... I ended up throwing them away. I had loved Mod pizza for a long time but after this experience, I am done with them. So...
Read moreI used to love this establishment, but to say it's gone downhill would be an understatement. When I last visited this location, the experience was borderline abysmal. I went with a couple of friends and each of our "pizzas" was awful in a different way. For starters one of the pizzas had several undesired toppings, (which I had noticed during the assembly stage, and hoped they would be taken care of) and was undercooked. Another of our pizzas was severely misshapen and undercooked as well. The third and final pizza had nothing terribly wrong with it, but hey, a broken clock is right twice a day. As for the atmosphere, I gave it the benefit of the doubt only because we chose not to stay in a place where our orders are taken about as seriously as the employees training. Overall, either step it up or shut it down. P.S. I wrote this review weeks after visiting, yet it still invades my mind, so I had to come and get this...
