Ordered a chocolate milkshake and was given vanilla with chocolate sauce. I apologized for the trouble, and then requested a replacement, but made with chocolate ice cream and regular milk. My request was met with, probably, the worst attitude I've ever encountered from someone in the service industry! After I waited paitiently behind 3 other guests on an 80+ degree summer's day to ask for an actual Chocolate milkshake, this Dairy Queen employee barked at me the price... then when I explained I was replacing the first milkshake, not purchasing an additional, she responded as if I was lucky she didn't call the cops on me! I'm sorry that I wasn't aware that it was not standard for an ice cream establishment, with a machine that makes chocolate ice cream, to make a chocolate milkshake with chocolate ice cream. And even so, the way she handled the situation was textbook what not to do with a customer. Someone, seriously, needs a customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped at this Dairy Queen location today because itās near my home. I needed to order a DQ ice cream cake for my sonās birthday. The doors were locked and there were no signs stating the store hours, however it was 12:45 PM; and I would expect them to be open since it states on their sign that they are a year-round store. So I sat in my car and I called the Dairy Queen thatās out on Perry Hwy., and ordered my birthday cake! They were very nice! As I went to leave I drove around the back of the store, and thatās where I found the two female employees enjoying a very long break, smoking cigarettes!
Now they not only lost a $27 sale from me, but there was another person who had pulled into the driveway that also pulled out because the doors were locked.
The store hadnāt been open that long for someone to actually need a break! Regardless, did they both need to be out there so that there was no one to wait on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhatever you do, DO NOT order any of the few food items on their menu. They don't have a fryer or even a simple grill. If you go inside and order a chili cheese dog they will literally put it and any other hot food you order in a microwave right in front of you then proceed to top it with some disgusting lumpy brown stuff they call chili and melt shredded cheese on it which solidifies again within minutes. Seems this location was bought out by foreigners, remodeled and has since gone down hill. Now I have no problem with foreigners making a business but I certainly do have a problem with what they are serving as the simplest American hot dog on earth to make in a decent fashion. If you're not going to at least do a half decent job with the food then just leave it off the menu. I will NEVER order anything but ice cream from this...
