I really want to support local business like this, and it pains me to offer a negative review, but I drove considerably out of my way to make a visit to this store, rewarding them for being open on a Sunday. When I asked the young women at the front counter if they or someone would be able to give me some advice on what to purchase to accomplish a fairly routine home improvement task, the reply was "there's no one here that can answer that. You'll need to come back tomorrow." [UPDATE on 5/14/25 after seeing response from business: I did NOT ask to speak with anyone specific. In fact, this was my first time in your store. There were two young women working at the counter and I asked "Can your or someone give me some advice on what to use to seal old railroad ties in a retaining wall?" They looked at each other for several seconds before one replied that there's was no one there who could help and that I'd need to come back the next day. There was no misunderstanding -- it was all very clear.] This really defeats the advantage that such a neighborhood hardware store should have. Heck, if they even made a call to ask someone, that would have been outstanding. I tend to be loyal to stores where I have a good experiences, and one here would have had be coming back, despite being...

I went back and was looking everywhere and didn't see it, thank goodness the manager (mentioned above) happened to be back there and seen I looked lost and Asked if I needed anything. I said, yes and told him what I was looking for, he said, we don't and they make it but I recommended something else. I went back up front and I said (with a smile) they don't make the product that I was looking for, she looked and then looked away. So, I said it again and see literally ignored me, again and started to wait on another guest and totally acted like I wasn't there. That was rude I cant even understand what happened and why is there a CHILD literally handling money and customers......ummmm....labor laws...what is really...

Everything is so so so marked up you’re like, put up a sign saying we’re obviously ripping you off. Please bring your purchase to the front. But the worst that has happened has to be last weekend. An emergency. I needed an automotive stud to replace the thermostat housing to take my kids to their grandparents for Halloween. I tell the head guy what’s what, ask for help Bc they were closing soon. He gets me two bolts. I confirm. These are hardened for automotive use? Correct? So I can torque it to specs? He says yes. I get gone, install them. Start torquing to specs and the one bolt just sheers in half! Now I’ve been without a car for almost 2 weeks and I’ve tried everything to get this bolt out of the engine block. Nothing! I’m so angry, Idk. I hope ya’ll go out of business-...
