A Hidden Gem for Indian Street Food in Seattle
If you’re craving authentic Indian street food, Dosa House is an absolute must-visit. It’s one of the rare places in Seattle where you can enjoy a true Schezwan dosa — and trust me, it’s worth the hype.
🥘 Things We Tried: • Schezwan Noodles • Schezwan Dosa 🌶️ • Mysore Masala Dosa • Spring Dosa (⭐ Must-Try!) • Chole Bhature • Onion Cheese Dosa • Paneer Burger
🍴 The Verdict:
The Schezwan Dosa stands out as the star of the show — spicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. It’s hard to find this dish locally, making it a rare gem.
The Chole Bhature was rich, aromatic, and absolutely lip-smacking. The Spring Dosa deserves a special mention for its unique texture and flavor burst — a must-order. While the Onion Cheese Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa were decent, the accompanying rice porridge (kanji) elevated the experience. Surprisingly, the Paneer Burger was quite a hit too — crispy on the outside and soft, cheesy inside.
The Schezwan Noodles tied it all together, ending our meal with a bold, Indo-Chinese kick.
🌱 Vegetarian-Friendly + Self-Service
All the menu is vegetarian and the setup is simple: self-service with a focus on flavor, not frills. The ambiance is basic — no-frills, quick bite-and-go setup — but the food more than makes up for it.
🔄 Improved Over Time
One thing I’ve noticed: the food here has gotten incrementally better over the years. The flavors are more refined now, and the consistency is impressive.
Despite being called “Dosa House,” don’t limit yourself — the non-dosa items are just as good, if not better.
⭐ Final Rating: 4.4/5
An underrated spot for bold, comforting Indian street food with a vegan edge. If you’re in Seattle and craving a dosa (or anything spicy and satisfying), Dosa House...
Read moreordered a Pizza Dosa when i ordered this, i had no clue what to expect
what it ended up being was a massive dosa - cut into four parts - which essentially functioned as a pizza contained within two sides of dosa
rather than the crust, all the contents of what you would find in a pizza were placed inside the dosa
it really did taste a lot like a pizza - but with the added benefit that you could dip it in a bunch of different sauces
i particularly liked the pink sauce that was available - it was sweet, but there were 5 or 6 difference liquid sauces to choose from
the cheese in this was really good. it was present throughout - basically every bite included some sort of a cheese pull. the inside was absolutely full of cheese
the other thing filling the dosa were vegetables - a ton of them. All kinds of peppers, olives, and onions were ever-present and spilling out
the outer layer was your typical dosa texture - just crispy enough but also soft enough. I think this texture works for a normal dosa, but for a pizza dosa it wouldve been better to be crispier
It would've been better if the inside of the dosa had more than cheese + vegetables, and I did think the sauces weren't as good as they could be - none of them really added to the flavor
The portion size of this dosa was huge. I was only able to finish 3/4 and even that got me really full The size of the dosa itself is really large, and this multiplies when you consider that its completely stuffed with mostly cheese
overall - certainly an interesting...

Pure cafeteria type setup with ordering kiosks. Place your order and prepare for having your "order #' yelled out. If you ordered a bunch of stuff - get ready for multiple trips back and forth to get your food.
With this set up, there was a tipping screen before you paid - what?!! Aren't tips for service provided, which there was none!
We ordered a bunch of stuff - Idly, Vada, dosa, utthapam, choley bhature, hakka noodles. Papri chaat. Food was served in a mix of disposable and non-dispo serving ware. Flatware is all disposable and self help.
Good - hakka noodles Ok - dosa, idly Meh - utthapam, choley bhature Unpalatable - papri chaat, Vada
Who adds a south indian medu Vada to papri chaat?!! They do...and the Vada was rock solid, totally opposite of what one would expect from a SI Medu Vada which is fluffy and light.
Utthapam was unevenly cooked and almost tasted raw in some spots.
Choley was a little on the bland side and could use a bit more seasoning. The pickle that came with it was sweet - again, unexpected.
Hakka noodles were the best of the lot as it was flavorful.
I won't go there again, but to each their own. The place was quite busy on a Tuesday night so must be...
