Stayed here while I was in town for a 5 day convention in Bellevue. I would have stayed at the convention hotel, but they didn't offer breakfast, this one did, but it seems I should have read the fine print.
Turns out "breakfast" was nothing more than granola bars, instant oatmeal, chocolate muffins, and substandard coffee. Two types of coffeemate, but no milk for coffee or oatmeal. No brown sugar, either. No fresh fruit, and no juice. Definitely not diabetic friendly. I've stayed at cheaper hotels that had better breakfast. Heck, the Redmond Inn where we stayed on Tuesday night at least had English muffins or waffles.
I hadn't planned to spend money on breakfast during my stay, but due to the substandard "breakfast" this hotel offered, my friend and I had to dine out for breakfast each day.
Hotel advertises they have internet, but it's near impossible to log on as the signal is terrible. I suspect this is because they want you to sign up for the paid internet option. Once again, I've stayed at cheaper hotels with better free internet.
Upon arrival we discovered our kitchenette had no dishes or utensils - we needed to get these from the front desk - but we only discovered this late Wednesday night when it was too late.
Our room had 2 bars or soap, and 1 very tiny bottle of shampoo. Seems if we wanted our room made up, it was an extra $10/day.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked and the room Inhad reserved weeks ahead of time was not available. I was offered a room with a king-sized bed with a pullout couch for my friend and I or a room that wasn't being used as the TV was not working. I opted for the room with the broken TV as my friend and I each needed a proper bed to sleep on. We weren't even offered any sort of discount or perk for agreeing to the substandard room - which had an odour of fresh paint.
The three staff I had to deal with were pleasant, but I won't stay at this hotel again. I've stayed at other long-term stay hotels that had better rooms and...
Read moreUpon arrival at our hotel room there was a ladder hanging from the ceiling nearly blocking the stairwell in front of our room, there were dirty dishes on the ground in front of the room next to us (which remained there for our stay) and the fridge in our room was broken. Over a period of 6 hours (with our groceries spoiling) nobody was able to fix the fridge nor did they offer us another room with a working fridge. (We booked the room specifically because it had a kitchenette, so we could save money and make our own dinners.) Finally at 10:30 pm, with my kids having eaten snacks for dinner and now trying to get some sleep for a soccer tournament, the desk guy, Alex, and someone who had just arrived to relieve him from his shift came to the door and offered to take our groceries to the employee refrigerator. We were assured that the problem would be resolved the following morning while we were at soccer. When we returned to the hotel the next afternoon the fridge was still warm. Alex at the front desk apologized profusely and told us that HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON STAFF - he had to handle check-ins, service issues, AND THE ROOM CLEANING on his own. What a nightmare! Alex was very kind and deserves a medal for dealing with what his employer was asking of him for what I'm sure is less than a living wage. On top of all of this, there were stinking overfull trash cans under the stairwell in front of our room, the tv service went out twice, and the "continental breakfast" was coffee, granola bars, and off brand individually wrapped muffins made out of pretty much garbage. The only thing that wasn't terrible was the room itself, which despite having uncomfortable beds, looked newly remodeled. We cut our stay short and went to a different hotel. We will never return to this establishment, and we will warn our friends to steer...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews on anything, let alone a negative one. However, I must warn the public that the people who work here are the worst kind of trash that you should avoid. When I arrived to check in with a reservation, one of the housekeepers told me that I couldn’t park in a free parking space on the hotel lot. I asked him why, and he said it’s for hotel guests only. I said that I had a reservation and that I was needing to check in. He then said that I still couldn’t park there. I asked where I should park instead and he just kept saying I couldn’t park there unless I was a guest. I said that he should go talk to the manager about it and to leave me alone. He persisted in giving me wrong directives, and I said that he shouldn’t be telling me what to do, and to leave me alone. Then he made a verbal threat against me and my daughter saying “you better hope I don’t have to come help you.” This is the house keeper! Then I went to check in with the manager and make a complaint on the housekeeper. I was irate and expressed my resentment of the way my child and I were just rudely threatened by a member of his staff. Instead of reprimanding his employee, and validating our concerns for our safety, he instead canceled our reservation and kicked us out of the hotel because he said that we were too impolite for him because we were distressed that we were threatened. It’s probably not good for someone so thin-skinned to be the manager of a hotel. This place sounds like trash from the other reviews I have read, and that makes sense because the people who are in charge of this operation are trash too. Luckily, I found much better accommodations immediately after this incident, and am happy to pay a little bit more for much better quality people and rooms to their...
