Zero Latency VR Seattle — Attraction in Redmond

Overpriced and mediocre experience. While I agree with other reviews that staff was friendly, the experience itself was lackluster.

The venue itself smells unsanitary; it is reminiscent of a grimy chuck e cheese.

But the VR, for Outbreak and Space Marines, was janky. Tracking was poor. There is consistent screen tearing and lag which prevents from being able to take it seriously. Additionally when debriefed, we are first instructed to not raise the volume beyond a certain threshold or it will glitch the game/audio so we are unable to get properly immersed and stuck hearing other in real life and in the comms. There is no penalty to dying so players are not incentivized to actually move. Both the games seem to be designed with the novelty of VR being the selling point as opposed to actually designing a good experience in VR. I would give Outbreak a solid 3 out of 5 stars. But Space Marines was terribly designed. The entire game paused if someone is out of bounds yet they are segments designed with tight corridors. One squad will have to wait for the other squad before proceeding, which naturally makes sense, however enemies are still spawned allowing people to get distracted while the other squad just stands and waits.

We had an amazing time at the VR games and escape room! We came as a group of 16 and played two different games—both were super engaging and well-designed.
