This place is off the charts! I called in an order for my 10 year old son for his birthday, spending $79.40. I went in at the time I was told it would be ready and I was met by an employee who asked me if I was there to dine in or takeaway. I told them it was to take away and had previously put my order in.
When the manager heard my name, she said it wasn't ready yet but that she needed the employee who spoke to me, to come and help her get my order together. My order was NOT difficult at all. Nothing unique or special about the order, just normal chicken in a bucket, with some sides.
The manager was frustrated, on edge, upset, amongst other things but what was funny was that there was only two other customers standing next to me; no other customers in the restaurant. There were one or two cars in drive-through, so essentially, not a difficult spot to be in.
I stood and waited for about five minutes until another employee came over and asked me what my name was. I told him my name and he said, "Oh yea, your order is here." He pointed in the opposite direction to where the manager and the other employee were "working on my order."
I had been stood in line waiting for an order that was already completed (sitting on a table in the opposite direction-not heated), having to put up with a manager who couldn't handle small amounts of stress and 'peak traffic' (allegedly), and found there were more employees (three) on the customer side of the restaurant (getting soda and stuff) than in the kitchen (two) doing their jobs!!!!
First of all, why do you need that much staff if they aren't going to be in the kitchen during peak time????
I added a screenshot of what I ordered compared to three photographs of what I actually got. With this being the only KFC near me, and me living some distance away, I didn't have the time or the patience to go back and face the manager who had no idea what she was doing.
Part of me feels sad and/or bad for her because she could probably be a good manager, but she doesn't have the staff around her who are going to do the job properly. Essentially, it falls on her. I still like the taste of KFC but you guys have got to do something about how this restaurant functions.
In a way, my sons birthday meal was ruined. We still made the most of it but probably won't go back...
Read moreMILITARY DISCOUNT ISSUE. Review the multiple manager complaints for months, yet they are still there!? Was told rudely on several visits "this time but not next time" for a Military discount, as a caregiver picking up for an elderly disabled veteran! Rude disrespect response reasons "it has to be your ID and they have to be present, we've had issues.." The photo shows him as elderly. I'm not dragging an elderly disabled man in and out of a house, car, in the cold, etc for his 10-20% discount he's due. This is a military town. If a wife, child, significant other, caregiver, has a military ID, its usually a Father, husband, family member or caregiver. We have a high aging population in this area, retired and active military presence. What ridiculous issues? The location is near an Air Force base! That is a rude vibe and the chicken is becoming overcooked near burnt condition! We have been going less and less to this location because of this. On the rare occasion, if an elderly disabled veteran wants KFC for a meal, you get the elderly disabled veteran KFC for a meal! Don't be disrespectful about it. The cashier couldn't even apply the discount, she had to get the manager. I could tell she was trying to be kind but sensed what was coming too. This place, this strip of restaurants on this street is going downhill. Even the parking lot is messed up. I tried to contact corporate and even their website wouldn't go through well. Not an enjoyable experience no matter how many different sauces, sales, dishes they promote. If the manager isn't maintaining quality, good service, and overall atmosphere... they themselves are exhibiting an image on how they get treated. Avoiding this place until there is significant improvements. I don't want my elderly veteran father feeling the lingering vibe or getting ill...
Read moreI don’t really have any words tbh. All I can say is the girl that gave us our order before we came back is lucky she wasn’t there. First: we didn’t get any gravy with the combo that we ordered through the drive thru Second: the coleslaw was the amount of 2 regular silverware spoons in this container they gave us and Third: The fries… felt and looked like they went through the microwave and were filled LESS than halfway in the container. My family and I went back through skipped the speaker and went straight to the window. The girl that was there was there from another location to help out the restaurant. We show her everything and tell her and she immediately starting cursing not at us but about the restaurant and telling us her location is better and they never mess up and we should go there from now on. We only go to this location bc it’s 5 minutes from our house! We’re not gonna waist more gas and our time to go to another location! The next person that came decided it would be funny to joke “I don’t see anything wrong with this order” we were waiting in that line for 20 min and we were starving… we did not laugh needless to say. So we had to wait about another 10 minutes for them to fix everything. In conclusion… we’re not coming here anymore we’re going to Canes more than likely. Which is a real shame cuz we’ve been coming to this place every other Friday for the past 6 months...
