Takeout order from ubereats
It was delivered fresh and hot to our door. All the fried items were still crispy.
the ordering process was frustrating because I could not order the family meal. After trying for 10 minutes I called the restaurant. they didn't seem to understand what I was saying and just told me that it was a Wi-Fi issue. She told me to try again. I could order everything else without an issue. Our meal came to 91.66 , but if we could have gotten the family meal, it would have been much less.
Hot and sour soup 2 stars I had two spoons and I knew I didn't want to eat the rest of it. It's kind of bland. I even ordered the larger one because I didn't know, and though I hate to be wasteful, I can't do it.
Egg drop soup 4.5 stars
Triple delight and happy family hot pot style 4 stars These are two different dishes but they tasted pretty similar. The difference was one had scallop and the other has shrimp. I couldn't really tell the difference aside from that. It still tastes good and there's a lot of variety in it if you are only ordering one item.
Beef lo mein 5 stars it's probably not the best lo mein that I have had (I've been to some amazing Chinese restaurants in major cities and in Asia), but at the same time I was just really craving it today. So out of everything, I would definitely order this again. I gave this a five because I can see myself ordering your regularly.
Seafood szechuan style 5 stars It's in a brown sauce that tastes garlicky. I was expecting some spice but found none. There was shrimp, scallops, polluck, and squid along with vegetables. I feel like it's good for the price point.
Sweet and sour pork 3.5-4.5 stars This came packaged separately from the sauce. Though mostly done very well I could taste something was slightly off with their oil in their deep fryer. I noticed same issue with the peanut butter chicken. so far today it would be at the lower end of the scale but I can see it being at the upper end normally if there wasn't an issue with the fryer.
Peanut butter chicken 3-4 stars I ordered this because I've never had it before. It seems like a Nebraska and thing because I've only heard about it from other people in Nebraska. It tastes pretty much like what you would expect some deep fried breaded chicken with peanut butter sauce.
Singapore chao mei fun 4 stars This is pretty good, not as good as my uncle's, but decent. Could taste a decent amount of white pepper.
Dragon and Phoenix 5 stars I really liked that it was 2 different items. As we always order for 2 this is great for more variety. The shrimp is very large. The chicken tastes great. It was a bit soggy from being in the container but still very good
Hunan two tastes 4.25 stars This is also two items but for me I prefer the dragon and Phoenix. It's still a good choice if you want 2 different dishes. Great to mix with...
Read moreTL;DR at the END Really this is 2.5 stars but google doesn't allow so I rounded up. It really is better than a lot of other places, and the price is a bit more reasonable. So, the indepth review: The crab rangoons were 2.50 (Cheap!?) ----But they're also fairly small. However they were GOOD, so I felt pretty okay about it. I ordered a dinner combo which came with a spring/egg roll. I don't recall what variety. But it was also GOOD. They are 1.00 individually which seems to be cheaper than a lot of other places. The steamed rice in my dish was good. Not crunchy, not soggy.
Now, for the meal I ordered. I have a litmus test for judging the qualtiy of a chinese establishment. Pork with mixed vegetables (where I can find it) or chicken with mixed vegetables. They might have had a Pork option, but what appearred to be that was marked spicy on the menu so I opted for the chicken. When I order this dish, I look for the vegetables to be cooked through, not too crunchy but not over cooked. I look for the chicken to be juicy still, not raw, not dry. But what's also super important is that mystery brown savory sauce. I cannot make it myself no matter how hard I try, so it's important that it tastes good to me since this is the only way I can come by it. Here... The dish fell waay short. The sauce almost had no flavor to it at all. It's bad when it's too overpowering that you can't taste the meat and veg, but this sauce was bland. Disappointing for me, and where the dish fell short, but still decent enough to satisfy my hankering for chinese food. Some other notes -- The staff was friendly, the place looked a bit tacky but you're there to eat not stare at the wallpaper. I didn't use the restroom so I can't comment on how cleanly they were. I got my meal to go, it took less than 10 minutes--very surprised how quick it came out, and very pleased! I will certainly be returning to try out more items on the menu to get a fuller idea, and perhaps try the same dish again to see if it improves. I will also be updating.
TL;DR -- This is the first or second best place to get your chinese fix in Bellevue that...
Read moreOk wanted to try a different spot from my usual spot so I googled Chinese rest, and this was a place that looked like it had decent reviews I ordered the orange chicken and the lo mein for my wife, the whole time i was waiting for my meal they had some little kid running coughing bugging customers pressing unlock buttons on there remote on there keys. Needless to say it wasn't the best the steamed rice was super dry in my orange chicken , the chicken its self not so good but wasn't the worst I tasted form an Asian spot . My wife noodles in her meal was greasy her meal which I tasted my self taste like grease. Bottom line the meals were like 9 bucks for the orange chicken which reading a review saying they were ok on prices.(also the meals don't come with crab ragoon) .Rice Bowl(who meals come with the best crab ragoon in town) on saddle creek has had me for years, every time I try a new spot I regret it, I know for a fact rice bowl meals are less and taste better than any other Asian spot you'll go to my review is just my opinion but I wouldn't lye to you when I say don't waste your time....
