3rd update All the dishes we ordered were all super. Steamed whole fresh fish, chongqing deep fried chicken, signature baked buns filled with marinated beef, vegetable melody and finally a big enough for 5 people sesame mochi with sweet fermented rice wine for dessert. We used to get good service by servers cleaning the empty dishes along the way, but this time, after waited a while I had to ask.
As it like many other Chinese restaurants, their POS system also preset tipping percentages are calculated based on the after-sales tax amount of the bill - that they call it "Tip" - in Washington state, voluntary tips are not subject to sales tax and are typically calculated based on the pre-tax amount of the bill.
2nd update The service is still very good and staffs do all they can. The portion is generous but the dishes needed reminded less salt and oil.
This restaurant has became my favorite go-to Chinese cafeteria recently. Also I hosted an eight people gathering and very good feedback from my guests. The food was decent and big portion but price is reasonable. They also have lunch specials for $9.99. It is a Szechuan style but they have a quite selection of non spicy foods from eastern China region, shanghai rice cakes, tea leafy ducks etc. the service is also accommodating and prompt. They don’t force on the service charge on the big...
Read moreI had an issue with my order that was likely caused by the ordering app—it showed an impossible menu option that shouldn’t have been selectable. I even had screenshots proving this mistake.
When I first informed the restaurant, they made me wait 10 minutes before offering two choices: wait an hour for the kitchen to clean before they’d remake my dish, or get a refund. Since it was already 8:30 PM, waiting wasn’t really an option. But then they changed their stance, saying a refund was only possible if I brought the incorrect item back inside—which was already in my car.
To make things worse, they dismissed the evidence I showed them and instead told me to "be more careful with my selection next time," as if the mistake was mine. At this point, I was tired, frustrated, and just hungry, so I reluctantly agreed to try something different. Unfortunately, the food I received was greasy and not what we expected. My wife and I ended up with stomach aches afterward, making the experience even worse.
After all that back-and-forth, I wasted $26 on food we could barely eat. Mistakes happen, but the way a business handles them is just as important as the food they serve. In this case, the lack of accountability, dismissive attitude, and poor customer service made this a truly...
Read moreThis restaurant is huge with multiple rooms, but is understaffed. They tried to squeeze way too many tables with a table even almost right in the doorway. It's freezing at that table whenever anyone opens the front door. I think we only got our waters refilled once if at all, but we probably could have gotten more if we tried. It also took a while to get the check.
We basically had one dish with each type of protein - free range chicken soup with cordyceps flower, steamed flounder with tofu, shredded pork with dry bean curd, and stir fried filet mignon, but also ordered the vegetable medley and "eggplants in hot garlic sauce".
The chicken soup feels too overpriced, especially with the server spilling a bunch of it when pouring into the bowls. The shredded pork with dry bean curd and the eggplants in garlic sauce were both my favorite dishes. Their menu is huge, so there's going to be something for everyone. It seems like this restaurant is good for spicy dishes, even though we...
