Teriyaki House Grill — Restaurant in Bellflower

So I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now and decided to try it out for the first time today and boy was I disappointed. My go to place for teriyaki or fusion is Bom Bom grill in Bellflower which is closer to my house so I never felt too compelled to try this place. I finally gave and I decided to call ahead to place my order so it would be ready by the time I arrived to the place and was put on hold for 10 mins. I just started heading down to restaurant because I was frustrated about being on hold and decided to just come in and order. When I walked in it was not busy with just made me a little angry considering how long I was on hold for. I ordered my food and the wait wasn’t long. Got home and was immediately disappointed. I got the chicken teriyaki super fries and they were not special at all. The only thing I enjoyed sadly were the jalapeños they keep on the side to grab yourself. I’d much rather stick to Bom Bom Grill. They’re Bom Bom fries are so much better and...

For me, eateries are not a sliding scale comparable to another. My experience at this place is related only to itself. This visit was my first, and it will not be my last. I got a combination plate, with chicken and beef, which comes with rice and salad. The quantity was hefty, it's definitely two meals in one. The beef and chicken were equally delicious which pleased me. The rice was at maximum rice tastiness, in that it was white rice that was cooked well. The salad was bright and fresh and the only think I didn't like about it was the dressing. I felt a vinegar based clear dressing would have made more sense along with the entire meal. Fortunately, it was on the side so I could limit the amount. I checked in on Yelp to get free egg rolls, which I thought were very tasty, though we were not provided with a specific sauce to dip them in. This just isn’t the place. I asked prior to what I ordered if it came with certain ingredients. My child requested a cheeseburger which I requested the kids meal.

When I received my order, his cheeseburger looked sad. I checked before my child ate the burger and had no cheese, just bread and dressing. The fries, were dark brown and hard. Tasted stale and old. Pictures for proof.

How can you mess up fries, really. I understand they specialize In grilled teriyaki but that was unacceptable.

Then the other employee stated the kids burger did not come with cheese. I requested a cheeseburger. I also asked about the toppings since my child is picky. Still had to charge me over $1 for a slice of old looking cheese.

Will not go back to this establishment. I spent over $25 on 1 bowl and 1 kids meal and still payed another $1 and change for a...
