Unfortunately it pains me to write this review as this restaurant had previously been one of our favorites in the past. Upon our visit last night we found the restaurant was under new management, had removed most of our favorites dishes from their menu and had a lot of new staff which initially was fine as we're always open to new things.
However, we ended up having one of our worst dinner experiences ever...at any restaurant in a very long time and as a result we don't anticipate every going back to this restaurant again. Our server was extremely unfriendly and quite frankly rude. She never smiled once and really made us feel unwelcome as if were more of an annoyance to her than a customer.
Our scallop appetizer would have been pretty good had it been properly cooked as they were half raw. Regardless, we were still determined to enjoy ourselves despite the unfriendly service and raw appetizer.
My wife ordered a spinach salad w/shrimp for dinner which was very average and quite honestly we've had better at Applebees for a lot less. I ordered the zesty salmon which was the worst I've ever had. The sauce tasted like a cheap sauce from Cost Co, the fish was of poor quality and the fish was also so overcooked I had to use a knife to cut through it.
I returned the fish and showed our unfriendly server that once again it was so overcooked I had to use a knife to cut. She stated she would take it off the bill and barely as so much offered an apology. I was hoping at a minimum the new general manager would come over and apologize for the poor meal however that never did happen.
Upon receiving our bill the server simply put the bill on the table and then turned and walked away. She made no effort to say thanks for coming in AND once again offered no apology for the poor meal or poor experience.
I then asked to speak with the general manager and I cordially explained our experience and although he slightly encouraged us to come back he made very little real effort to make us want to come back again. He also admitted he knew we had been served a very poor meal including a horrible salmon dish and he admitted he should have come over to talk with us rather than choosing to ignore the situation.
We're about as easy going as it gets however after this experience we'll never set foot in this restaurant again due to the unfriendly service, poor food quality and general manager who really dropped the ball.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as you can have a lot better service, a lot better food and a lot better experience for a lot less money at pleny of other restaurants in the area.
I guess we should've had a pretty good idea of what was to come when we first showed up at the restaurant on a Friday night @ 7:00 and the place...

Extremes Bar and Grill 6/10 Toppings Jalapeno Tomato Green onions Black olives
Price $14+$4 for guac
Cheese type Melted shredded cheese
Presentation Tall pile of nachos on a plate with checkered paper
Summary First off, the presentation is a plus. These just look like a good plate of nachos. There are plenty of toppings and the olives and jalapenos are all pretty evenly spread over the chips. I can't say the same about the cheese. The cheese was melted shredded cheese. The spread was off. And there were parts where there was an abundance of just a glob of cheese. And areas where chips didn't have any cheese on them. There was also parts where the cheese stuck to the paper underneath. Which will absolutely cost some points. That, and the fact that a lot of the time, the chips would break under the weight of the cheese. And I'd be left with broken chip and barely any toppings. The toppings were good and plentiful but also didn't add any pizzazz to the taste of the nachos.
The guac that I paid extra for was good. It seemed to be made in-house and I'm glad I got it. The salsa that came with the nachos tasted like tomato soup.
General consensus: Nachos look good, guac is good. Cheese is mid, and unevenly distributed. The toppings are mid but there's a lot of them. Chips are weak, and easily break under the weight of the cheese/toppings. I didn't end up finishing it all because it was a bunch of broken chips with globs of bland cheese. The toppings were hard to scoop up with broken chips. Overall, it's a good looking pile of mid nachos. Not the worst nachos I've had but probably won't get again. If the chips and cheese were different I think I'd...
Read moreAfter a long day this was the right place to come unwind and grab a bite. So much of the food is scratch made; you can smell it when you enter and taste the difference. The in-house smoked meats are given the time and attention they need, it's like they whispered smoke and flavor into every shred with the utmost care. Calzones filled to bursting, with dough that's soft, perfectly seasoned and invitingly warm - you want to eat it, but you also want to just crawl inside it and live there.
It doesn't matter where you're from, you can come take a seat at the bar and experience 'home' on a deep level. Rachel made me feel like I was an old friend she wanted to catch up with instead of an out-of-towner listlessly seeking some carbs and meat.
Great people. They work harmoniously. They love what they do. Seeing it will make you wonder if you're in some feel-good tv show about a sports bar, but it's real life. Appreciate it. Savor it. Take that feeling with you...
