I never liked tamales because I never had a properly made tamale. Until now. Yes! These tamales were worth the wait in the freezing-cold outside line, but I was super happy to score indoor seating. Not an extensive beer list, but a style for every preference and the two we had were quite good. The guacamole was outstanding. The tacos looked good and I look forward to trying them on our next visit.

Love this place - the tamales were delicious - had the chicken chile verde, chorizo and cheese, and salsa roja pork along with chips and guac. Be sure to get the tamales smothered in red sauce. Their guac is fire as were the picked veggies. Pair it all with a beer from El Suenito🍺Will def be back!

It's okay for a quick lunch as we're not fans of beer so maybe you will enjoy it more if you drink. I had the cider mimosa, it's good. The breakfast tacos are average. My husband likes his tamales. You order and pay at the counter, there's not much customer service.

I went with a group of people. The service personnel were happy to bring 2 of my friends their food at their table. 2 of my other friends were told that their food would be brought to them at the table as well. After some waiting, the staff went to the table again and in a passive aggressive tone, they told us that "you can actually pick up your food yourselves now". We were confused so we went and did that. Like 10 minutes later, the same staff brought more food to our table for the first 2 of my friends so maybe the service level is different depending on who the customer is. I went to ask for water, and in the same passive aggressive tone, I was told I could get it myself. I think this should be better communicated from the staff rather than judging us for not knowing exactly how the service works. When I picked up my food, I found a long thick hair in my tamale. I think all the people I attended the restaurant, along with myself, will not attend this...

Updated note: the people with me relayed they were reprimanded and silently yelled at for having kids soooo I guess don’t go if you have kids.

First timers and I don’t say this lightly (I was in service industry for a decade) but we were immediately presented with rude service from female staff at counter. Very annoyed we were asking questions even tho there was no line. We are Sunnylanders and were put off my non-friendly neighborhood feel. Sure I will tip 20% and get my own food, water, cutlery AND do my own bussing that’s fine. But to be treated rudely the whole time was rather not fine. They also seem to dislike kids which is fine, but maybe advertise that. Note -...

We went in a little before noon on a Saturday to a short wait to counter order. The wait to order line quickly became long and going outside. The 1/2 pound tamales were pretty good, we had the corn, mushroom & cheese and the sweet potato mole. Both came with a generous side of rice and beans and a meager portion of salsa. (had to ask twice for more salsa and I still would have liked more} They seem to be short staffed. The meal was a very good value for the price. We also got 2 tamales to take away for later. I recommend going early for lunch on weekends to avoid...
