Man I cannot say enough about this place. From the men operating the proshop, to the grounds crew, all the way down to the bag boy's! Absolutely A-1 service and the course is NO different! It has some corkiness to it but nothing too crazy. Challenge's every aspect of your game and is in beautiful condition! I've played there a few times and somehow didn't realize it's beauty until around the 4th or 5th time I've played it! My buddy that I play with every day always saw it because he praised it but now I see what he sees in it. Barry, Jay, and please forgive me for forgetting the 3rd guys name in the shop are absolutely terrific! Very helpful, very accommodating and even lienent (being that my buddy was a bit late)! I rank this course in my top 3, coming from someone who plays golf EVERY SINGLE DAY, including the winter months. From Meadowbrook, Acushnet River Valley, Richmond CC, Allendale, Exeter CC, Cranston CC, just to name a few. Only one I'd choose close to it is Acushnet! But the slight corkiness of the course makes me choose NECC. That's my personal opinion. Cannot comment on the conditions enough. Greens are full, fast, not marked up, truly country club condition! Fairways are cut nice and just all around GREAT course. If it weren't an hour for me to get to, that would probably be my home course. And priced nicely compared to a lot of other places. Paid $75 with a cart on a Friday I think it was. So nice went back out for 9 more! If you have not played this place, I PROMISE YOU, it is an ABSOLUTE MUST! You may reconsider top 5 courses after playing this place. Thanks a lot NECC. I'll be...
Read moreFirst and foremost, this is a very nice golf course. If you’re a halfway decent golfer, you will enjoy this course. Unfortunately, Nothing else about this place is enjoyable for a non member golfer. The entire time you’re playing 18 holes, you are reminded that you need to maintain a specified pace. Otherwise you may be asked to leave or skip a hole, paying over $100 per person sounds ridiculous that they would ask you to skip some of the course or leave. The largest problem that I had here their parking lot is extremely small and if you have a slightly oversized vehicle, you could be subject to damage from a potential careless driver in this parking lot. In my situation my brand new pickup truck was backed into and now I need a new front bumper and grille. Unfortunately, this course does not have cameras anywhere near the most important part of the property, which is the parking lot. Not only that they are unwilling to review the footage from anywhere else in the property to try to find the driver that damaged my vehicle. If you do go here, park at the far end of the parking lot away from everybody else because it is too small for anyone to back out of their spot properly. Overall, I would not...

Snapshots: A lovely layout, which will enthrall the nature lover in you
Greens undulate and are quick
The course can be tight - at times suffocatingly so - but there are a fair number of open holes as well
The 17th hole can be a round-wrecker if you don't get over the wetlands fronting the green
Tee boxes don't give you a lot of choices on where to set up
Both 9s will consistently challenge you
Oddity: Hole No. 1 comes back through the clubhouse
You'll need to ask your irons for some carry on occasion
