Bought a coffee and a biscuit sandwich, came out to 16.50 before tax and tip. 20.43 after tax and tip. Espresso with half and half + vanilla, 4 shots, came out to 8 bucks. 8.50 for the sandwich. I was a little confused about how high the total was, not realizing the drink cost. Because she didn’t tell me the final cost before taking my card. The cashier got grumpy when I started questioning the price, which she wouldn’t tell me, then offered to print out the receipt. Ridiculous for a quad shot espresso. Will not be going again. Biscuit sandwich was super bland, subpar biscuits. Espresso shots were okay. Avellino or the Firehouse are better options. Feels like just another bland mediocre Bellingham coffee shop.

This is overall one of the best coffees in Bellingham. It was busy when I went today at 10 am. The building echoes, so people talking seems very chaotic. A loud laugh can be a bit jarring. The espresso ($3) was almost perfectly extracted with only a slight sourness as it cooled down. It's a good classic flavor with some natural sweetness, not too dark but a bit of toastiness. The 8 oz latte ($3.75) was awesome, a great smooth microfoam that paired really well with the espresso and not too hot. The biscuit ($4) was okay. The drink prices are VERY reasonable, and the quality is as good or better than higher priced places. Overall, for a good coffee, it tops my list. Wish it was open passed 3pm.

This place hits the mark every time. Seriously, nothing short of wonderful and lovely. Top tier pricing in this economy. Been buying Velvet Elvis since 2017 (fantastic roast for cold brew) and well, loyalty always prevails especially bc they're CONSISTENT. They pull fantastic espresso, serve up the BEST biscuit with jam and butter around (preferably eaten in person), with cozy and bustling vibes. Cold Brew Slushy with an add shot of espresso will keep you happy all day long. Super happy customer!!! Oh, and obviously the staff makes every visit worthwhile.

Very disappointing experience. It is so important to go into a place and feel welcome, and if something is wrong with the food or beverage, it shouldn’t matter what, the customer should be treated with respect and accommodated. This place, wow, rude employees working there today, especially the two females. Made me feel bad because I had an issue with a drink and they wanted to charge me for another one, instead of just making me a new one. Never experienced such a nasty response to something that tasted so bad. Coffee weak and flavorless. Biscuits ok but nothing special, $6.25 for a 16 oz coffee. Starbucks prices at Walmart quality. Believe the other 1 and 2 star reviews. The ones that gave this place a high score must be friends and family of an owner who gives two craps about the bad reviews. Doesn’t read them or respond. Shows a lot about a place and the people. Go...
