Hot Bagels, Belmar's Finest — Restaurant in Belmar

Ordered an egg bagel with butter through DoorDash but I didn't ask for it toasted. Now if I were in the South where they don't do bagels and love butter, I'd have understood this monstrosity I received but nope... we are in BagelLandia aka New Jersey.

What was even worse though, and totally lived up to everything "Jersey" vibe, was the woman on the phone when you call there. I waited 3 mins the first call, 2 mins the 2nd and another 3 the last one for this woman to tell me, "If we are busy and you don't ask for it toasted, we don't bother to toast it." So you just told me that you guys don't care about quality when you're busy. Her tone, her attitude and everything about her was the epitome of rude, old NJ woman.

What was even more disappointing is that the sweetest older gentleman dropped off menus in our office and said, "Hey! We noticed you guys have ordered a few times and we wanted to let you know we will deliver to you." I tried to call, got that Jersey devil and ordered online...

They call this a bagel shop? What a complete joke. From the moment you walk in, you can tell there’s no pride in what they’re serving. The bagels are rubbery, over-salted, and cold — the exact opposite of what a real bagel should be. Instead of getting something fresh, hot, and worth the money, you’re handed a product that feels like it sat around until someone finally decided to shove it in a bag and pass it off as edible. The experience is just as bad as the food, with customer service that is robotic, fake, and totally dismissive, like they’re just going through the motions with zero care for the customer. I wouldn’t waste another dollar here, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. They have no real specialty bagels like jalapeno cheddar or spinach cheddar. They had Newsmax on today.Thats a statement in itself. News 12 not a political statement. Everyone should try it I'm being truthful not paying people for reviews. The flagels are good. I was spoiled by Belmar Bagels for the last 18 years. Now here is the old post which was 5 stars.
