We had dinner at this Outback on a Sunday night. We arrived approximately 5pm. This Outback doesn't have the look or feel of most Outbacks. It has a more modern design, more like a TGI Friday's or Ruby Tuesdays, without all the memorabilia on the walls. Although it is very nicely designed. Although there is almost no waiting area. 4 seats stuffed in a small corner next to the door is it. I know this because we had to wait even though half of the tables in the building appeared empty. There were only another couple in the waiting cubicle, so we all had a seat. It was very cozy. Thankfully we didn't wait long. And it seemed strange that they insisted on texting to our phone, rather than saying our table was available, even though we were the only people waiting at the time. Plus we were sitting approximately 5 ft away from them. Be that as it may, we were seated at our nice modern window booth. That gave us a nice view of the outside while we waited. It was a cloudy day and getting dark. So I do not know if sun might be an issue on a sunny day. Our waitress was very personable and did a decent job. Any possible issues would easily be overlooked because of her personality . Too bad the person seating people was not as good. We watched a table of 7, be seated in a medium size booth. 4 on one side, 3 on the other. This poor elderly man was hanging one cheek off on the 3 person side. With the 4 sitting jammed together. Our waitress brought a chair so that the elderly man could sit in the isle and then have three on each side. This all went on while the large round corner booth right next to their booth and ours on the other side, was empty. That would have fit the large table without jamming people in the small table. It amazes me that these folks accepted the situation. Our dinner took a fairly long time considering all. But the circus at the almost adjacent booth made the time slip away. I had prime rib and smashed potatoes. My potato's were like warm at best and would not melt butter, when mixed in. I didn't eat them for that reason. My prime rib was more fat than meat, but prime rib tends to have fat. I ate most of it though. It was also very dry that I chose to pour the juice on the meat instead of dipping. It soaked up the whole bowl without a drop on the plate. Although it made it much better. Even though there was now now dipping juice. I had potato soup that was very good as was the bread. The wife had a steak and baked potato with a salad. She said her meal was decent in most respects. So we had two different experiences with our dinner. We did not experience the bar or the rest rooms, so I won't comment. This was not a bad dinner. Although mine could have been better. Our dinner had more positives...

Read moreLast time I visited this location was two days ago on 6/18/22 close to 6pm and it will be the last. This was the second poor experience that I have had with this location. The first disappointing experience came about 1-2 month ago. I visited with my boyfriend and it took more than 15 minutes to even be greeted by any server and then another 15 to just get a glass of water. I understand that everywhere is short staffed, but when every other table around is being helped (even parties that arrived after we did) and we saw the woman who ended up being our server laughing and talking by the bar instead of being attentive. The second bad experience was similar. I arrived with three other adults and we sat there AT LEAST 15-20 minutes without any acknowledgement from anyone, but the two parties who arrived directly after us were helped first. I would have been understanding if these parties were in a totally different section with another server who just happened to be free first. But that was not the case. Both parties were seated VERY close (one of them was even the table directly behind ours). To make matters worse, we made prolonged eye contact MULTIPLE TIMES with the server who I assume would have been assigned to us. 20 min of waiting and still never greeted by a single server. A simple “I’m so sorry, I’ll be right with you” would have made all the difference in the world but that never happened. No one could be bothered with us. So we got up to leave and the hosting staff didn’t seem bothered either and just wanted to know which table we were at so it could get ready for the next. I hate that this has happened the past two times because my boyfriend and I were so excited that an outback has opened close to where we live and probably would have visited regularly....
