We've enjoyed every visit. Love that they're willing to cook our burgers to a truly rare temp.
We have to drive pretty far to come here, so we don't get to eat here as often as we would like. We'd come back more frequently if they were open later and parking were easier in this area, but we understand that they don't control the traffic and maybe their clientele don't eat out as late as we do.
If the owner sees this: Please bring back the meatball sliders, or at least a "pizza burger" like burger with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese! The meatball sliders were my favorite item on the menu going back to my first visit in August 2023.
Prices are reasonable considering the area. For only $5-$10 more per person than Five Guys you can have a full sit-down experience in a swankily-decorated restaurant with burgers cooked to your chosen temp.
The portions are huge and the two of us are never able to finish 2 burgers and fries or even 1 burger and 2 sliders and fries in one sitting. For reference when we eat at Five Guys we polish off 2 triple patties and fries every time.
We've liked some of the burger toppings better than others but that's a matter of individual taste. I have a pretty delicate mouth so some of the crunchier foods (calamari, onion straws) cut up my mouth. The onion rings are sweeter and blander than I'd prefer but are less crunchy so better for my mouth (same with the sweet potato fries, which I wouldn't recommend if you like a crunchier fry, but are perfect for me).
The honey chipotle sauce reminds me of the spicy ketchup at Moo Creamery in Bakersfield, my other favorite burger place (at least since Lucky Devils in L.A. closed down - but they had wagyu burgers for $25 so may be an unfair comparison).
Service has always been friendly and efficient. They check up on you a bunch throughout the meal and don't upsell you on drinks and desserts.
Good to know: They still seat people with less than half an hour to go before closing. Seated a table at 8:10 on a Sunday and took their order at 8:15.
Update: I don't know if I should be encouraging people to show up late but one time I noticed people being seated 10 minutes after closing! I still wouldn't risk it personally since I'm not local. Would be so sad to drive for an hour only to be...
Read moreThe atmosphere was good. Wasn't busy when we arrived but picked up as we were leaving. Food didn't take too long coming out. Music and decor was good. Very cozy.
Service was also good. The staff was nice and attentive.
The food... different impression. The presentation looked really good. Unfortunately, the flavor of the entire meal, was underwhelming. We both thought it all lacked in "something". Best thing was the actual fry on the beer battered salmon sliders. It was perfectly fried. The calamari melted in our mouths. We took the majority of the meal with us and added flavor at home. The mint lemonade also fell short. Wasn't sweet and didn't really taste like mint (although we could see sprinkles).
Not sure we'd try them again. Simply because all of the food we had, missed on the flavor scale. For the price, we expected more flavor. We traveled from the East Bay to handle some business, was excited to try this place because we were starving, and was truly hoping we enjoyed the food. We discussed our displeasure most of our ride back across the bridge. So unfortunate because we had such high hopes.
(We ordered mint lemonade, salmon sliders, buffalo sliders, and calamari for lunch.)
EDIT: In response to this business' response to our comments: We were thorough in our experience at this establishment. We didn't enjoy most the food, despite what is common for most of your regulars. Learn how to accept an experience of ALL patrons, without comparing new customers to "regulars". We won't become regulars, and your response contributes to that. As a customer, we gave our experience for OUR 1st time. That should have been sufficient. Your comparison and emphasis on how your regulars feel, has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH US! Deducting a star due to the off-putting comparison. Yuck! You're not perfect and neither...
Read moreTruthfully I was hyped up to eat here. The food looked good online and I've heard great things about this place. As soon as I step in the door it's just awkward. Definitely not the demographic of people I expected, but felt like I was out of place based on my appearance. The vibe aside, after being seated a lady dropped her cup on accident. The problem was not the cup, but her attitude about it. The lady looked annoyed, upset, and unsatisfied. It took a very VERY long time for us to be NOTICED. The server was nice, I think he was the saving grace. After ordering the food came out some what quick, and of course our order was wrong. After receiving the proper foods I was really hoping that this place had some positive side to it. I was wrong. For context we got the garlic truffle fries, a pepperoni burger, a directors cut mushroom burger, and onion rings. The fries, fresh, but I could not taste the truffle. The burger was a true disappointment. No one in the world can convince me that those patties are fresh. Unevenly cooked, tasted frozen, and had zero seasoning on the patties. I cannot stress this enough, very poor quality burger. The onion rings were also, not good. Again feels like they were sitting in a freezer for weeks. Mushy and flavorless. After finishing our food we sat there for quite some time until the check came. And sure enough when it did come, we were sitting there for again quite some time until we were able to pay. The total came out to over 65 dollars before tip. The price, quality, and service were well below expectations. For that money I can go 5 minutes down the road and get 4 burgers, fries, onion rings, and a shake that would actually...
