The Loaded Potato — Restaurant in Belmont

I have ate here 3 times. The first time I tried a bacon and cheese potato. They were very stingy with the butter so I asked for more and you would have thought I had asked for the world to be handed to me. The potato was dry, hence the need for more butter. The next time I decided just to get the chips and beer cheese dip. Mistake. The chips were stale and chewy and had little to no seasoning. Apparently when I came back I forgot about this experience with the chips and beer cheese and ordered them again. Unfortunately I had the same experience. I don’t believe they are cooked to order because they are also cold so I am guessing that because I am there at lunch time, they are most likely left over from the following evening. I wish I could have tried more on the menu! Hot honey spud was decadent, but the star was the perfectly cooked chicken. So tender it cut as easily as the potato, which itself seemed more flavorful than a typical baked potato. I finished most of it but you could easily feed 2 people or have 2 meals from one potato order. • Food was marginal at best. Took 31 minutes to prepare with a very light crowd. • Service was non-existent. Not one person said hello, welcome, thank you or goodbye. Not one. • Price was very high, especially for overcooked, dry, tasteless food.
