Delightful place. Also, I am glad I waited to write this review.

The day after Xmas me and the man were in the Belmont area and looking around for a place to go. Nellies had no reservations until almost 12, so we tried the Pita Wheel. Walking in there was a horrifying smell that was very much like backed up sewage. Nothing will put me off food faster ! As we walked into the restaurant, the smell eased off. We ordered the Fried Pickles and pitas when I went to wash my hands. The smell was back in the hallway going outside and restrooms near the kitchen.

The man got the Chicken Philly and I chose the Buffalo Chicken... Mine was a touch spicier than I normally like but the representation was great. Lots of juicy chicken with the sauce swirled around through the bread. The Man's Philly had great flavor and will probably be my choice next time we go.

The service was a little ...it was good... the drinks were never low and the food came out hot. I would say zealous? We got there right after opening and the place filled up as we finished. It is probably wrong to complain about a great server when so many places don't, yet there should be a balance.

This week, I saw that Belmont has a severe sewage issue that day with the Chronicle (just around the corner) having puddles in the ground floor apartments. So glad I waited before posting.

I loved the Warhol-esque atmosphere. Just a nice place to...

First time visiting here. Six customers (including myself) sitting at the bar. I waited 14 mins before I was greeted. A Mgr finally ask if I was there to pick up an order. After telling her no that I just wanted to order a drink, she proceeds to ask bartender if she took my order, and the bartender just noticed me. Again, there's only 6 customers and it took the bartender another 10 mins to make a margarita after digging for the recipe. I get that she maybe was training, but the two mgrs sitting at the bar should have at least acknowledged me and helped the bartender if customers are waiting that long for a beverage from a trainee. So from the time I sat at the bar, ordering a drink, actually getting the drink, it was a total of 25 mins. The bartender also walked by me and waited on two gentlemen to get them another beer. She also seemed like she didn't want to be there. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this was my first time there and I'm highly disappointed in the service I received since it was a very slow evening with just six customers all sitting at the bar....

I normally love pita wheel as I grew up going to the one in Dallas. However, the past few times getting takeout here at the Belmont location, I’ve been extremely disappointed. Either the fries don’t have seasoning, the portions are half the size that you get when you dine in, or the order is missing something. Tonight all 3 of those things happened. I got the Carolina chipotle which is always my go to order and I asked for extra lettuce and tomato - because sometimes they skimp. I didn’t get extra lettuce (or the regular amount) and I got no tomatoes. Also the turkey in my pita was a strange shredded/gritty texture and dry. I was also missing the seasoning on my fries, and they were just the tiny fragments not full fries. I feel like the takeout orders really get ignored, even though I am paying the same price and even placing a tip. The restaurant wasn’t even busy when picking up my order. This has happened at least the past 4-5 orders over the last couple months. Super disappointed as I know they...

Ventured out to eat here again. My son ordered the Cheech & Chong pita and said it was delicious, although he had to ask for more fried pickles as he found only 3 pieces. "No problem!" He also downed a SMORES Shake himself, and loved it. I had the El Guapo burger, and it was well dressed and had a nice blend of flavors. The bacon was crispy & meaty - no fat. The seasoned fries were a bit salty, just the way I like them. Hubby had the MAD GREEK salad, devoured it, and didn't even share one bite! This trip was better than the first. Kathryn's smile and prompt service added to our enjoyment. Thank you.

Excited to have a PW in Belmont. Having replaced Glenway and competing with the other locations; it’s got a lot to live up to. Friendly staff and tasty food with a fun atmosphere. I would like to see bigger portion sizes for the price. Also, in two visits I have yet to sit in a comfortable seat. The benches outside hold large crowds but I feel like I’m sitting directly on a wooden bench. (I believe the Gastonia location has similar ones but this is a different scenario given how it’s on a deck. Small qualms but nothing that can’t be easily switched up. Glad they’re here.
