My son and I went to The Lodge Tavern & Tap for dinner on a Saturday, and we knew it would be good because the wait to be seated was about an hour. Once we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our server. The menu has items clearly marked as gluten free which I really appreciated.

My son ordered chicken tenders and fries (not gluten free). I ordered the bison burger with lettuce instead of a bun, even though they offered a GF bun for an extra 50 cents.

I also had the Mexican Caesar as my side. I asked them to bring out the salad first, and it was very fresh and delicious. It included romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, and corn tortilla strips for extra texture. The Mexican Caesar dressing was thick, flavorful, and spicy. I used a small amount because I can handle only so much spice. Once my son's tenders arrived, I used his ranch to cool down the spice.

The burger was hot and juicy, and I had it with cheddar, tomato, onion, pickles, and mayo.

We discussed GF dessert options, and they have ice cream and banana pudding. The waitress and manager were very careful about my dessert choices, and they showed me the pudding mix ingredients list. They also make the pudding to order with bananas, vanilla wafers, and whipped cream. They excluded the wafers, and it was such a creamy, delicious treat.

The manager and staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and caring. I will definitely return, and I encourage you to...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lodge Tavern and Tap in North Carolina, and I must commend the exceptional service provided by the assistant general manager and his staff. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively, but it was the staff's professionalism and attentiveness that truly stood out.

The assistant GM was incredibly hands-on, ensuring that every guest was taken care of. His friendly demeanor and willingness to engage with patrons created a relaxed, enjoyable environment. He seemed to have a great rapport with both regulars and newcomers, which speaks volumes about his leadership and management style.

The staff, from servers to bartenders, were equally impressive. They were prompt, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to recommend drinks or meals based on personal preferences. It’s clear that the team is well-trained and takes pride in providing top-notch customer service. I was especially impressed by how smoothly everything ran, despite the tavern being busy. It’s a testament to how well the staff is coordinated and led.

Overall, Lodge Tavern and Tap is not only a great place to enjoy great food and drinks but also an example of excellent hospitality. The assistant GM and his team have created a welcoming, professional environment that keeps me coming back. If you're in the area, this is definitely a spot worth...

The place we wanted to eat tonight was closed, so we had to find something else. This came up on the list of local places open on a Sunday night, and we ended up choosing it because of their nice sized kids menu (we have a rather picky 4 year old so options are a must).

Let me just say this first and foremost: It has been YEARS since I last had service so fantastic. Our server, Jessie, was an absolute joy. She treated us like gold and, even better, she made our little boy feel so special. Watching them make friends was so sweet and funny. It's been an hour since we left and he's still talking about her.

While we were there, the manager visited our table as well and welcomed us to the restaurant. Overall it was a genuinely very warm and welcoming experience that's hard to come by in a lot of restaurants nowadays. We felt like family.

I'd also like to give a shout-out to the bartender, Mia. That gal makes a mean margarita!

The food was delicious. I ordered the Brunswick stew. I'm particular about good Brunswick stew, and I was impressed with theirs. My husband had their Mahi plate and he enjoyed every bite. The fish was cooked perfectly and the collard greens on the side were delicious. Everything came out fast and was hot and fresh.

10/10 experience at the Lodge tonight. It was our first time visiting there but it definitely won't...

First I’ll talk about the environment of the restaurant itself. It is delightful and quaint dining experience just off of Main Street in downtown Belmont. The rustic decor and furnishings really created a nice atmosphere. You could easily walk here after visiting the antique mall, or the park. This was my wife’s second and my first visit, according to her the service was excellent on her visit too. Our server kept the drinks full for everyone at our table even though I drink like a horse, something that earns big points from me since that can be hard to keep up with. We came during brunch on Sunday and the food was delicious! I was the only one who ordered from the brunch menu but I can attest that every item was exceptional. A highlight were the grits, which are hit or miss at most places. They are the best I’ve ever had, and that includes home made! Prices were excellent as well. We had a party of three, three drinks, two appetizers and three entrees for a bill of less than $60. There are higher cost menu items as well which could drive that up. (The glazed duck sounded amazing but I was in the mood for brunch food) I suggest if you’re in the area you give it a try!

My first time in Belmont and my wife and I found this little place that was wonderful. We started off with the Pimento cheese which I have to say was some of the best that I've ever had. My wife had the burger with a side salad and I tried both as well and they were fantastic. My angry bird sandwich had good flavor and just the right amount of spice. I got the roasted duck fat carrots which were out of this world. I hope that I make it back to belmont just to eat at this restaurant. Our waitress had only been working for about 5 days and she did a fantastic job getting us what we needed. I also was impressed with a lady who come by who I assumed was the manager checking on us and making sure everything was good. Everything about this crisis was perfect.

Great food and service , first visit, our server was great, atmosphere was different but cool , if you don’t like stuffed animals you may not like it , but I did although I wonder if they are real , kids liked the bear by the front door, had the chicken fried chicken with corn and baked potato, corn was awesome, baked potato was also good , chicken was great although I would have preferred more of a white sausage gravy, the gravy was half dark but still good, my wife had the salmon, I tried her onion rings and they were awesome, getting those next time , the manager Dakota stopped by to check on us which was a nice touch , she told us about the specials and occasional live music , prices were reasonable, hope to be back soon, thank you.
