West Side Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Beloit

I've been going to this place for years never had a complaint... Until today we ordered to go this time got it home and the portion was miniscule compared to what we normally get and it looked different so we had called to ask if they had gotten another cook the owner or manager told us yes they did he said he looked at the cameras and the food looked exactly the same but I have pictures from before covid during covid at its peak and from today and honestly none of them look the same we spend anywhere from 30 to $70 every time we do order and he had the nerve after I called there to ask him to fix it to tell us not to come back after going there for at least 30 years very sad customer service and the food has gone downhill.... And as he said I will not come back...

Not familiar with local restaurants anymore so I googled and found this gem. You know it's a good place when you're greeted by the owner, wait staff and locals. Portions were quite fair. I had the Lumberjack Omelette with hash browns and my folks both had the Shrimp Basket with American fries and salad. Ma and Dad had enough for another meal each and me, I ate most of my meal since I didn't have breakfast, it was afternoon and I was hungry. Oh, the coffee was hot and good too and they kept my cup full! Overall it was a nice little neighborhood restaurant and even though we don't get to Beloit often we do plan to stop back in. I always love family restaurants, but last time my fiancé went here it was terrible. She said the waitress she had was direspectful and whats more she waited over 20 minutes to even get her drink. The service was extremely slow (including food) and for some reason the wait staff decided that huddling around the breakfast bar was more important than actually waiting on and serving my fiancé.
