I booked my wedding with them last year around December 2021. Gave Angi the deposit and my wedding date was set on July 18,2021 for the banquet hall venue at La casa grande. On the next day i contacted her for my receipt of my deposit and from there. She ghosted me for almost 5 mouths! I did everything you could possibly think of trying to get a hold of them. I called them, called the restaurant and left many messages, texted them and email them and NOTHING! This was truly my worst nightmare! My wedding was almost 2 mouths away! Until finally I called the restaurant and got a hold of Peter the owner. Told him the situation and all I heard were excuses and lies. We met up and he was kinda of rude. Told us what we wanted to talk about. Hello the wedding!..... next thing you know the banquet hall was already booked by someone else! Clearly very very very unprofessional and lack of communication between him and his wife. He shows us another remodel banquet hall venue next to the restaurant. The venue was still under construction and then assure us it will be done before the wedding date. We didn't have a choice but to go by his word. It was already to late to book somewhere else. Then a week before the wedding he tells us that the venue is still under construction. Lastly we had our wedding at Domincos, his second restaurant. I swear this was truly the worst experience I have ever encounter! So disgusted by their...
Read moreTonight we ordered online due to Social Distancing and wanting a no-contact delivery dinner. We ordered 5 meals, Chicken Strips, Enchiladas, Steak Tacos, Quesadillas, and Chicken Fajitas. This came to around $75 with the tip. Let me start with...the delivery driver not only knocked on the door and waited, he opened my screen door, there was no way at that point to avoid contact even if I wanted to. The exchange was quick, but definitely too close for comfort. The quality of the food was TERRIBLE! The chicken fajitas were cold and the chicken appeared to have been frozen and thawed (barely), you could tell there was no sizzle involved cooking this. They also failed to bring beans, rice or any other toppings. Boo! The chicken strips were terrible and that entire meal appeared to have sat out. The BBQ sauce was poorly packaged and spilled everywhere. My husband enjoyed the enchiladas but again, they did not pack the rice, beans or other fixings. Lastly, my daughter paid a $500 deposit to have a reception here on May 9th , 2020, and the manager has not responded to our emails requesting a refund. All in all, very disappointed in La Casa right now. I would avoid ordering during the Safer at Home order...I wish I would have. Stay...
Read moreI had my wedding reception at the Grande Banquet Hall this past weekend. La Casa Grande does a great job with day-of events: our reception itself was beautiful and they are very flexible when it comes to making the venue what you want it to be! The food was delicious and all of our guests were very pleased. I could not have been happier with the evening of our reception and how everything was presented and the way they hosted. They did allow us to set up our reception the day before and tear down the day after, which was really nice and made our timeline much less stressful! Its a fantastic value for the quality of reception you'll have and your guests will enjoy! However, we did have quite a few problems with planning. They are very difficult to get ahold of over the phone and don't usually call/email back in within a decent time frame. Being someone who likes to plan ahead of time, I struggled to feel confident in the fact that everything for my reception was going to work out. Overall, my honest review is that if you're flexible with planning, La Casa Grande is a beautiful venue for your next event and you'll LOVE the food! Just be prepared for a good bit of communication...
